I purchased this vehicle only for better gas milage in February 2022 from a dealership in my area. I took it back within a few days for this tire light coming on in the car. They couldn't find anything but added some pressure to the tires because one was slightly off. They thought it was just sensitive. Then two weeks later, it's back on, and then they said it was the tire stems. I replaced them. Two days later the light is on again.

By this point I am getting really freaking annoyed. I took it back again. They said oh, you have a leak. They fixed that repair. Then two weeks later, it's back on again. I called and said I am so damn sick of this and you better find the issues. They took it to a Honda dealership that they deal with and they did a diagnostic and said it needed an update to the system. I get the car back after several days.

I drive it to work the next day. The damn light is back on again. I called the asses at the dealership. They tell me they don't find anything wrong and they won't look at it. I need to make my own arrangements with a Honda Dealership. I contacted the Honda dealership near my job. They looked at by doing another diagnostic test. It's the tires because they are s*** and they can't find these tires in the system. I have new tires put on the car several days later. I am driving and it's about two weeks later. Surprise! The freaking damn light is back on again! I call the place that I got the new tires and they said oh, they didn't reset the maintenance setting.

Okay great. Well, two damn days again go by and the lights on again. I purchased a digital tire pressure meter. I pull over and pay for air pressure so dam much and don't ever freaking need the air. This is a complete ass. I wish I would have kept my Acura and just dealt with the night gas process because this has cost me much more stress, headaches, inconvenience and money.

Haven't had a chance to get this problem looked at in detail. The light came on suddenly, so I pulled in to the shop where I normally have my car serviced. They checked the tire pressure in each tire and each tire was "just a little low," so the mechanic topped off the pressure and I re-set the TPMS light. That was 2 days ago, and the light suddenly came on again today. I parked and looked at the tires. They're not any lower than they were 2 days ago when this started.

Just wondering (1) how many other people with Honda CR-Vs (mine is a 2015) have had this issue, (2) how serious is it, and (3) difficult/expensive is it to fix?

I purchased this car used in September 2018. Ever since then, my TPMS light comes on at least once a month, if not more. Since it was so frequent, I have taken it to the dealership to have them check tire pressure with their equipment, which is more accurate. More often than not, my tire pressure is fine in all four tires. Dealership has been great. They have done two software updates, have done hard resets on the TPMS, yet the problem still continues.

Of course, every time the light comes on, I have to stop and check pressure because I don't know if it's legit or not. Very inconvenient in bad weather! Last occurrence was Christmas Day, The next day, after stopping at two gas stations whose air pumps were out of order, I went to the dealership.

I don't see this problem listed on this site, but dealership has told me they have seen other CR-Vs with the same issue. Just a "sensitive" TPMS system. I find it hard to believe that there is no fix for this.

Update from Jan 5, 2022: Problem was never solved which caused me to trade in the vehicle because I was sick of dealing with it and there was never a solution

After I had to replace a tire in April 2018 the TPMS light keeps coming on. The Honda dealer tells me I have to buy 4 of the exact same time to solve the problem. They have twice tried a hard reset but the light comes back on after about 100 miles. I have tried may times to reset the light with the reset button next to the steering wheel, but the light comes back on within a few miles. The car was still under warranty at the time the light first started to come on in April 2018 and I am now (9/10/2018) writing Honda America to see what they will do to fix or resolve this issue. As of now, the car has only about 15,200 miles on it.

Apparently there must be either a tire pressure sensor fault or a software fault in the 2015 Honda CR-V that Honda has absolutely no interest in correcting. Just remember that the NHTSA as a division of the Federal government is just as corrupt as the rest of the Federal Government. That is why the NHSTA never seems to force a recall unless the body count is so high as a result of poor design or crummy quality control that the problem cannot be ignored. I'm not being partisan, they all suck. Consumers are getting screwed because the automotive industry dumps a lot of money into Washington D.C. so they don't have to correct something like the defective tire pressure sensor on your 2015 Honda CR-V.

The indicator showing that there's a problem with tire pressure came on. Stopped at local Goodyear, they checked the tires, tire pressure OK. It happened again - a nail in a tire. It happened again - tire pressure OK. It happened again, and no problem. This started after a tire blew out and I replaced it with a new one, so the four tires no longer were the same brand or had the same amount of wear.

I learned to monitor whether or not I had real tire pressure problems by checking my gas mileage. I'm usually about 32 MPG on the Thruway I use almost daily, and I did notice I was down to around 29 MPG the time the nail was in it.

Put the snow tires on a few weeks ago, which are all the same tire and amount of wear, and no problem for about 3 weeks. Then yesterday- light came on, gas mileage was good, stopped at Goodyear - I just pull in right now and tip the guy $2 - and the pressure was good.

Probably something for the dealer, but the one and only time I went there for an oil change, they tried to tell me I needed $800 of maintenance work not recommended by Honda owner's manual.

I had taken my car to the dealership once for this problem and it was fixed. They didn't really say what the problem was. Something about water in the tire or something like that. I had checked the pressure in the tires myself and it was fine. But, now it's back on again. I really hope this won't cause a bigger issue in the future if not taken care of right away...

After having a flat on one of the original tires that could not be repaired, and after consulting the service advisor at the dealership, I decided to purchase the original tire that came with the vehicle. I was advised that the different tire wear might throw off the TPMS. He told me that a new set of tires would help because the system worked using rolling resistance rather than PSI. I couldn't believe that I would have to buy 4 new tires every time I had a non-repairable flat. Reluctantly I bought two tires for $353.

I was told that the tires were rated for 80,000 miles. The original tires had 49,000 miles on them with a good deal of tire wear remaining. I got about 3 miles down the road and the warning light came on. I went back to the dealership and the advisor reset the system. The light went out. My wife drove 70 miles to work, then about half way from home on the return trip that evening, The light came on. She had to stop and check the tires just to be safe.

I got up the next day, Saturday, July 15, and took it back to the dealership. The first thing the same advisor said to me was, "That happens when you buy only one tire." He had forgotten that I put two new tires on the rear. He had what he called a hard reset done on the system. He told me that it should be taken care of but could not be certain because this is an issue that Honda has not resolved. My wife drove to work today with no problem. On the way home the light came on.

I called Honda Headquarters. I told them that I had seen other complaints about the TPMS online and the rep said that there is no recalls and that I should pay between $100-200 to have another Honda dealership try to fix the problem. I expressed my displeasure and told him that others were having this problem and it is like the car is crying wolf. After 12 new Hondas and 1 used, this is the last. My wife had been eyeing the new Honda Pilot for carrying the grand kids. I left a message for the Service Manager at the dealership.

I hope this can be resolved. I don't plan to go away quietly for this is a potential safety issue.

TPMS light has come on four times with properly inflated tires. Honda of the Desert in Cathedral City, CA first told me the Tire profile light wasn't the TPMS light. When I showed them the TSB for the problem. They said that wasn't the same problem. When I pressed them for a fix. They told me to overinflate the tires by 2-3 PSI. When I pressed them further, they said lots of CR-Vs have this problem, just reset the light. They offered to show me how. I told them I knew how but left the light on this time so that they could troubleshoot the problem. They took the car in the shop, reset the light and washed my car. One week later the light is on again. I checked the air with a calibrated gauge, 33 PSI all the way around. This was my fourth Honda, Probably my last. I saw in the complaints where some folks had the VSA software updated but still had the problem. What happened to decent service and reliable cars?

3 months ago, I started getting the TPMS light on continuously. I took it to Discount tire where I got 1 of the tires changed because of a flat and they reset it and it went away but came back within 3-4 days. I took it to Discount tire 10 times and finally after no luck took it to Gilman Honda in Houston and they did a master reset but after 3 days it came back again. Finally decided to talk to the service manager at Gilman Honda and after running diagnostics, his answer was that because I have a different BRAND tire than what my car came with originally, thats why I am having the issue. I told him that this is just nonsense because a BRAND of a tire should not matter but he stuck to his story. I hen said lets say I agree with you it is still Honda's fault and they should replace the tire and fix the issue but he denied.

Finally called Honda corporate and the lady there was fully trained not to help the customer. She had her script ready and just would not agree to help.

So I am taking my car to another dealership for a second opinion but this is frustrating. My wife drives the car and I have a baby and this is definitely a safety risk as well.

Please if anyone was able to get the issue fixed or tell me what I can do to get Honda to fix my issue, I would really appreciate.

After speaking to Honda corporate, one thing for sure they are not there to help yuo.

I would like to call your attention to a chronic problem I have been experiencing with my vehicle.

One that in spite of innumerable visits to my local dealer and what would appear to be a serious concern on their part, remains unsolved.

The vehicle is a 2015 Honda CRV, VIN #q, purchased fron Gillman Honda in Richmond, Texas, but serviced locally by Victory Honda in Victoria, Texas.

The current mileage is that of 9,838 miles.

The problem I have encountered is that of a " check tire" message that does not correspond to reality. The signal has turned on, about once a week since I purchased the car.

Victory Honda has examined the car on at least twelve occasions, I have taken it to my tire dealer at least once a month and the source of the problem has not been identified.

This has become very annoying, on one hand because I never know the true status of the tires and I have expended a lot of time and have been forced to find another mode of transportation each time the vehicle has been kept at the dealer.

I need a solution to this problem, and I need it now!

I have done some internet search and I do not seem to be the only owner with such a problem, you have been made aware of the defect and it need this resolved.

tire pressure light on

This TPMS warning light came on after I had a low tire. The tire was fixed and the system was reset but the light keeping coming on about every 50 - 100 miles and stays on. They had a recall on the 2014 CRVs TPMS light problem TSB #14-006 but Honda claims this doesn't apply to the 2015 models. I wonder. Have you had the same problem with your 2015 Honda?

Continuing problem since car was delivered. Tire loses air every few days and tire pressure light goes on. Have brought car into Honda service dept continually since delivery in January, 2015 and they cannot find the problem. They keep telling me they are trying to determine the problem. They keep the car, work on it, give it back to me saying "it should be OK now" and a few days later, light goes on and again low tire pressure when tested. It has been 6 months now and they still cannot find the problem and keep stringing me along. I am beginning to wonder if they would treat a man with this same indifference as to his safety on the road with tires that keep deflating. Is anyone else out there having this problem?..
