Traveling in a 2016 Honda CRV that only had 22000 miles from DC to FL and in S.C on I95, the battery light came on. Not even a minute later, all the lights on the vehicle turned on. The vehicle was no longer about to drive normal, I had to pulled over to right side of the road with grass about 3 feet high. I only had about 20 seconds to do this after 10:00 pm. I could not believe this was happening in a car that I owned less than 3 years and never travel out of state with my vehicle like this. I was stranded in a very slow town that I had to spend the 1st night in a dirty motel off the road as it was after 2:00 am. We needed assistance off the road from road side assistance as well as a State Trooper. The trucks were flying by and I was so afraid that I would get hit, as I barely got to pull off the road. For the 2nd day I got road assistance again to bring my Honda CRV to the dealership that morning. I was informed they can fix the belt that broke and I'll be on the road by noon. Nope, step away and was informed it was the water pump that locked up, which broke the belt. Then came the next damn bad news, the dealership did not have the part. It needs to be ordered overnight. I felt like I was in a horror movie. Back to getting another damn place to sleep. Stood at Sleep Inn in a small town called Orangesburg S.C. My Honda was repaired and I was on the road by 1 pm. Even the dealership was surprised this happened and could not explain why this happened. No one should have to go thru this. Honda should reimburse me for the motel and hotel. It may not be part of a recall, however who's to say I'm not alone in this!!!!! Not everyone complains or even speaks-up of their horrible ordeal with a Honda CRV.
