Bought this 2016 Honda CRV new... 10 mi. Oct.17 2016. After 29,900 miles, and not quite 3 years, the CVT transmission went out. It was replaced by Honda. Just over 3 months later and only 3000 more miles, the same thing happened. I am under the 34,000 miles, but the 3 years are up. Honda decided to replace the transmission again... thankfully without charging me. I'm sure they are aware of this problem and want to keep you happy. I think I will trade it in. I am so disappointed.

Bought this 2016 Honda CRV in Oct 2016. No real problems until now. 29,900 miles. Engine light comes on. D for drive blinks. Total transmission replacement was done by Honda.

Bought brand new 2016 Honda CR-V with the CVT transmission. Transmission just died at 122K miles of which most were interstate. It started shuddering on acceleration and then completely quit working about 50 miles down the road. Honda dealer said it needs a new $4000 transmission. I had a bad feeling about the CVT but thought since it was a Honda it would be ok. I was WRONG. Federal MPG guidelines are forcing car makers to put crap in the cars to make the numbers.

This makes the second transmission failure in our Honda vehicles within the last six months! This one, and a transmission failure in my 2018 Honda Odyssey EX, at 74k miles.
