5 times that I can remember my CR-V has locked itself when the keys were in it. Three times I was in the vehicle and could not unlock the doors to get out of the car. Once I had a friend and her 4 year old twins with me, and the windows were up and it was over a 100 degrees. The car was in the sun with the windows up and we could not get out. We had to call the Fire Department, to break into the car.
The dealership says they cannot replicate the problem, so they will not fix it. This happened the day I picked up the car when we bought it. Neither key would open the car. It took over an hour for the service dept. to get in. They told me the battery was dead. Humph. First Texas Honda in Austin, TX has blocked my phone number so that I can't even call them.
American Honda just says too bad, we cannot replicate these problems and they say they've never heard of any of these problems.
