CR-V EX 1.5L

  • 46,000 miles

I last drove my car on 4/22/20. Prior to that, I drove it 2-3 times per week with short drives (<10 miles) due to lockdown mandates by my state. I parked my car on 4/22/20 and went to drive it a few days later, on or about 4/24/20, but the key fobs wouldn't work to unlock the doors -either of them. I didn't think anything was majorly wrong other than needing new batteries for the fobs. I tried to start the car and nothing...no lights, couldn't adjust my power seat, no remote start, no accessory mode--nothing! I placed the key fob directly against the push start button, but nothing.

On 4/29/20, after trying for several days to get the car to work, I replaced the batteries in both fobs (CV2032 lithium) - but still couldn't unlock any doors, get to accessory mode, adjust my seat or start car. On and off until 5/2/20 I attempted to start my car. On 5/2/20, I had my son give me a jump thinking it was the car battery but to no avail.

So today, 5/3/20 I go outside to look at a car that is DEAD with me still trying to unlock the doors with my key fob (I know it won't work, but I'm in crisis mode). Why is it dead? It's only 3 YEARS OLD (purchased on 6/14/17)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I keep up with maintenance on my car. Anything that is broken, I get it fixed at a Honda dealership. I get regularly scheduled oil changes as soon as the signal comes on the car screen or I see the oil amount left in the car via the onboard information screen. Any recall information I get, I get those items fixed at a Honda dealership, not a garage or mechanic franchise. This is just unreal.

I am without a car and having bought my CR-V new, I SHOULD NOT be having this problem 3 years later (2 yrs and 11 months to be exact). I will copy and paste this to Honda's corp website. This is RIDICULOUS! No faith in car manufacturing. These automakers are more concerned with profits than building quality autos. Sickening!

engine died

Car had the engine oil dilution fix in late November. Engine died on the highway, losing power until no power at all. Check engine oil lite came on and car came to a standstill. Minutes later a car smashed us from behind. If my daughter was in the car, she could of died.
