The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the emissions system warning message was displayed and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and diagnosed with emission system failure. The contact was informed that the emissions system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 9,800.
