The car first does not respond to the key fob and when you look inside the dash is on despite not using push-to-start and you have to use the manual key to open the door. Then the car alarm will go off and continue not to repond to the KeyFob until you, once again, use the manual key to unlock and silence the car. The only solution I have gotten is to take the battery out of my key fob and disable push-to-start function. They already replaced my Key Fob AND car battery and the problem has persisted. No recall information as of yet and I'm taking it to the dealership for further scrutiny...

I demand answers for the issues I have been facing with my vehicle. I have been to multiple dealerships, but none of them have been able to provide a satisfactory solution. The dashboard lights have abruptly turned on, rendering various features such as radio, HVAC, power steering, brakes, cruise control, and others useless. Every time we have read the codes, different issues have been identified without any explanation as to why they are happening. It's high time that someone takes accountability for the problem and comes up with a solution.

Honda CR-V head unit or central console refuses to dim. This is a serious safety threat as display is glaringly bright and distorts night vision. I did take the vehicle to dealership for inspection and recommendation was to replace the head unit as they think this is a hardware issue. Professionally, I am a software engineer and I find it very hard to accept that this is a hardware issue. The hardware otherwise works perfectly with no defect. Judging by my experience this looks like software is overriding user inputs. Internet forums are full of similar reports by many users. As this can be a serious safety issue, I request you to look into this issue.

There is a KNOWN issue with Honda's Body Control Module (BCM) in 2017 Accord, Pilot, Insight, but except the CVR. Upon researching online, it looks like many 2017 CRV owners are experiencing the same issue with the BCM; CRV is not being recalled, but all other Honda models are. Bought it to our car technician, he indicated many CVRs are experiencing the same issue and recommended us to bring it to the Honda dealer. The Honda dealer wanted to charge us $1,700 to repair it, which is unacceptable when the BCM should be added into the recall as many parts are supplied by the same vender. Why did CRV is not part of the recall?

My mirror turn signal and left front turn signal flashes randomly on its own. Several times in a 24 hour period. The left back turn signal does not. I smell some type of electrical burning fumes from the left side of the car next to the hood where it comes to windshield. This is very distracting as it is happening randomly and often. This happens when the vehicle is parked, unattended, and in the off position. All times of the day and night. Also, while driving my touch screen system will randomly switch the brightness and change from nav to phone to radio ect all by itself, it is distracting to the driver..

1. numerous people including myself have been affected by this car draining a brand new battery and leaving people stranded and needing a jumpstart. My car is currently at the dealership again to have this issue looked at, last time they told me I needed a new battery, now they can't give me that same reason since my battery is brand new. 2. my instrument panel wouldn't dim making it extremely bright at night and difficult to see the road. Honda had to replace the entire system. 3. my car randomly flashes a collision warning "brake" while beeping so loudly when there's actually nothing in front of me whether I'm on the freeway or side streets and this I believe is the most dangerous problem of all since my car has the ability to brake for me if it senses a collision, and my car braking abruptly for no reason could be what gets me into an accident!

The vehicle was taken to germain of ann arbor (2575 S state St, ann arbor, mi 48104, (855) 223-0067) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed a software update. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred intermittently. The contact referenced NHTSA id number: 10163184 and manufacturer communication number: A19-066. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 10080473. The manufacturer informed the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 40,500. The VIN was unknown.

This past summer, I was driving by myself when all of the sudden, the infotainment center (the screen that controls everything and is at the center of it all) started beeping uncontrollably and the screen's brightness setting started going from full brightness to full darkness. I had no idea what was going on. I was terrified and almost got into a car accident, rear ending the car in front of me. I became very distracted and startled. I wasn't sure if the car computer or battery was over heating, I wasn't sure if I should pull over across two lanes of traffic to make an emergency stop...it was terrible. I tried everything to get it to stop. Nothing would do it. Luckily, I was a few minutes away from home. I pulled into my driveway in a panic and shut the car off. I turned it back on and it was gone. I chalked this up to maybe a one time computer glitch and let it go. Two days later on the highway, the same thing happened. This continued many more times randomly without any warning or explanation. I never received a notice or warning in the mail. I wish my story ended there, but it doesn't. the random obnoxious beeping and flashing eventually stopped. However, two weeks ago I was driving home from work at night and noticed I could barely see the lines on the road. I almost hit a deer. Confused, I realized the brightness was turned all the way up on the infotainment center and on the screen directly behind the steering wheel. I attempted to turn the brightness down, but quickly realized the screens were frozen on the highest brightness setting. Even when I would press the (-) symbol to turn it down, it would scale down to the lowest setting, yet remain on full brightness. Honda told me they couldn't do anything. Tonight, I almost hit a pedestrian because I couldn't see them until the last minute. I've never been so mortified. Something has to be done. I have videos.

Without any reason the autobraking/collision system has engaged twice when no cars or animals on the road one time going 55mph and another time going approx. 40mpg. In addition the display screen (radio etc.) does not dim. It stays full brightness even with adjusting it. Honda had to fix when vehicle was brand new after I had to fight with them that this is an issue. The screen blinds me at night because it is very bright so you can't really see the road. This stays bright stopped or moving. Lastly, not a safety issue but auto high beams also had an error while driving.

I have had the Honda since Nov 2017 & have had 2 shutter release problems-loss of power‼️‼️ it reduced 15 miles an hour going up a hill & kept reducing power.. I could have been on a two way road & gotten into head on‼️‼️ took it to dch Honda temecula, ca & they said there is no fix & wanted me to go on my merry way‼️‼️ called their Corp. Office, opened a case it but the case person would not talk to me or call me back‼️‼️ I have an arbitration case now set up with ncds & Honda.. Honda is not under the ca lenon law but with ncds (national center for dispute settlement). The Honda person assigned to arbitration case called me & told me I don't have a case as I only took it in 1 time. But, I called dch-Honda temecula, ca to set up appt to get this fixed & they wouldn't call me back for appt.- as the can't fix it‼️‼️ this car is going to cause a death & Honda could care less, I just don't want to be that death statistic‼️‼️ the us does not need a company that doesn't stand up & acknowledge their faulty products & fix them‼️‼️😠 now "high beam problem" is coming up on dash‼️‼️ it's the Lexus gas petal issue - & that ended up causing 3 deaths‼️‼️

In rain storm driving at highway speed at night all of the dash lights went out then back on then out again several more times. I was so distracted I just about lost control of the vehicle. The display in the middle goes blank while I am driving a lot. Last time I was backing out when it did which cause my car to have serious scratches on it. At the same time the back up seemed not to be working either. My son made a video of it happening one time when he is in the car. Also the radio is lock and does not display what is playing like it use too. Also sometimes when I am switching lane with my blinker on the car will not let me do it and abruptly slow down even if there is not other car on the road. I had a 2012 Honda CRV that my son drive and never had these problem. My 2017 CRV touring is by far not as well made since I have all these problems already.

My new Honda CR-V 2017 has a safety defect. The headlights fog up when it rains or after I wash the car. Condensation is formed inside the glass headlights making visibility dangerous especially on cloudy days or after sun set, especially at night. This happens whether the car is stationary or moving while driving on a rainy day. I obviously can't take pictures while I'm driving, but I've provided a few pictures of my problem. I reported the issue to coggin Honda here in orlando, where we purchased the car but the service department did not help.

Audio head unit (7" led panel on ex-L) on dashboard does not dim at night. When you try and move the dimmer slider on the unit, it tries to dim, than goes back to full brightness. The dealer has tried to fix this for over a year, and it's still not fixed. Doing a quick google search shows many others having the same problem. This is a safety issue because it's too bright at night and affects/interferes with night driving especially when making right hand turns by creating a blinding condition.

Center console / infotainment system will not dim at night, nor can it be adjusted. It stays at maximum brightness. The console displays light even when off and adjusting the volume knob turns it back on. It also may spontaneously come back on when off. Once the issue appeared, it could not be resolved with a reboot or hard reset. Having a bright light source close to the driver at night in a distraction.
