The driving sensors stopped working during a recent winter storm. It turns out the radar sensor in the front of the car was damaged and needs to be replaced at the cost of $1000. The technician said if I don't fix it, the computer on the car could then shut everything down. The placement of a fragile sensor at the front of the car is an extremely poor design, since any sand or salt on the road will get kicked up and can break the sensor. Extremely poor engineering and design.
