My spouse noticed my 2018's CRV's wiper fluid was leaking on the pavement where it was parked. Was taking to dealership anyway for oil change, so asked them to take a "look"... they responded by telling me that both the front and rear wiper wiring had been chewed up by "RATS", and it was NOT covered by warranty, and they want $400 to fix it! My hubby asked them where the housing was & if he needed to remove a tire to get at it (yes), and he said "no way" - he got the replacement off the net for less than 40 bucks and while aggravating, he was able to repair the wiring himself. The car generally sat in our driveway, so we are unsure how it would have been chewed on by rats? This is a growing issue, we found, as the car makers use "soy wire" which is delicious to them. Been staying the compartment with "keep away" spay ever since! This car is a piece of junk! Will be my LAST Honda for sure!
