I drove a 2013 Honda Crosstour before my CR-V. About a year before I bought the V, I bought a new iPod Touch (6th generation). The iPod Touch worked fine for the year that I used it in the Crosstour. When I tried to use it in the CR-V, it completely locked up the infotainment system several times. Some investigation showed that the CR-V is only compatible with generations 1-5 of the iPod Touch. The iPod was too new to be used with my brand new CR-V even though it worked fine in my 2013 Crosstour. I know I can use the iPod through Bluetooth, but that means that I cannot use my cell phone hands free. If I plug my iPhone into the USB of the CR-V, it disables the ability to use the iPod via Bluetooth. So I use my iPhone for both and I have no use for the iPod Touch.
