The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that the vehicle had failed to start. Triple A was contacted and replaced the battery. Additionally, the contact stated that the infotainment system screen had turned off intermittently while driving. The contact stated upon turning off and restarting the vehicle, the infotainment system became operable. The contact stated that upon inspecting the battery, Triple A informed the contact that the battery was significantly corroded, and the battery was replaced. The contact stated while driving at 55 MPH to the dealer, the infotainment system screen turned off. The contact pulled into the dealer's parking lot. The contact stated upon turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle failed to shift into gears and was undrivable. The dealer diagnosed that the battery terminals were faulty, causing a system communication failure and battery drainage. The dealer replaced the battery. The vehicle was temporarily repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 48,419.

Car has been through at least 3 batteries in 4 years, 2 in the 10 months I've had it. It did not have the original Honda battery in it when it was sold to me. It had 20,00 miles so the battery shouldn't of failed so soon.The alternator isn't charging it correctly at times and is most likely the reason for the battery failure.Ive had it tested twice at other shops and it came up as low output from the alternator but a good battery. I've provided the dealership with tons of videos and the test results, but they aren't interested and just say it's a defective battery. It's the 3rd battery and the current one is only a few months old. There is a class action lawsuit for my vehicle stating that Honda used underpowered batteries in 2017 to 2019 CRVs and has done nothing to rectify the issue. I've had it to 2 different dealerships and both seem to find no issue or blame it solely on the battery which isn't covered under my warranty. A battery should last years and not months. It's left us stranded no less than 6 times. I've had this car less than a year. Lawsuit claims Honda has known about the issues and has not disclosed then when selling the vehicles. I was never made aware of the issue.
