On multiple occasions, I have turned off my car and exited my car. The car would then turn back on by itself. Initially the dash would light up and an error message would appear saying key not found. I thought it was my key fob battery, so I replaced the battery and still received the message. I was unable to do anything with my car. This happened on several occasions, but each time it would eventually work. I then noticed that the dash kept coming on. When I would get home, I would park the car in the garage and turn the car off and go inside. I came out and noticed the lights were on and the dash lit up. I turned it off again and then sometimes it would stay off and other times it would come back on and I could not get it to turn off right away. Several times I would go to my car in the morning and my car battery was dead and I had to have my son-in-law jump my car or AAA had to come out so I could go to work. This went on for weeks until I realized it was because the car keeps turning back on on its own until the battery dies. After back and forth at the dealership and replacing other parts they thought were the issue, I am now told it is a faulty Body Control Module which caused my car to turn on in accessory mode. The part is on backorder, so I have had to borrow a car for the past couple months. My daughter has been researching the issue and found this to be a common problem with the car. Battery drain, car alarms going off, not able to start the car, etc. all due to the faulty BCM. I see Honda has had issues with this part on their other cars, but has not issued a recall for the CRV yet. The part is expensive, but because I have 41,000 miles on my car it is now out of warranty. This should be investigated further, as I know I am not the only one experiencing this issue.

We had just gotten off the freeway and were sitting at a stoplight. When the light turned green, all of a sudden several of the yellow warning lights on the dashboard started to flash: emergency braking, electronic parking break, tire pressure, lane-keep assist, and others. The car became sluggish and moved forward haltingly and slowly. It feels like the breaks or the parking break are cycling on and off. We pulled over as soon as we could. Turning the car off didn't clear the warning lights. We called AAA and they came and checked the battery -- which was at 100% and working fine. The parking break works fine; we can hear it turn on and off using the lever. We had it towed to a Honda dealer nearby and are having it evaluated. It is undriveable in this state, and we are concerned that even if the dealer gets the warning lights to shut off, it could happen again at any time. There are reports all over the NHTSA website that this is a common issue -- please investigate!

While driving (road trip 500 miles round trip), all the dashboard lights turned with no real indication of what the issues was. I pulled over to see if there was anything noticeable and did not see anything exteriorly nor once I opened the hood of the car. I continued my drive home (remaining 100 miles or so) and once I parked my car in driveway, I noticed a strong smell with black smoke coming from exhaust pipe with black oil at the end of my tailpipes. My car is currently at dealers getting looked at and they recommended changing my fuel injector and spark plugs, which they completed ($2,000) and I AM STILL having issues.!!! Doing my research online I noticed that there was a recall of this vehicle in China but not in the US, which is unacceptable. Something needs to be done ASAP!

Warning lights for multiple (possibly all) systems begin appearing and all ADAS including traction control is deactivated. The condition clears eventually in its own after fuel up, possibly several days later. Dealership attributes conditions to bad fuel injector with no other fuel related symptoms because the condition includes and engine code for either a faulty fuel injector or fault AC control module.

I recently bought a 2018 Honda crv and have had ongoing issues with the touch display going on and off by itself. I took a video of it. It will randomly start blinking and beeping changing the brightness on the display. There is no way to shut it off or stop it without turning off the vehicle. I have also had issues with the automatic braking system. It is braking when it should not be. It has happened to me twice on the freeway now and once in town thankfully no one was behind me, or I would've been rearended badly and possibly been flipped in my vehicle. I was going 75 miles per hour, and it started flashing brake and then braked for no reason there was nobody in front of me. Another time it said I was skidding but I was not until it braked than I began to skid at which point it did nothing to stop the skid. I have recently skid on ice, in town and it did not do anything to stop it, nor did it respond. I have not taken the vehicle in yet. I was researching the issues to see if they were known issues with my vehicle. To my dismay they are. I bought this vehicle due to its safety features as I have my grandkids with me frequently. My Audi did not have the winter safety features I needed.

My vehicle computer started indicating that there was a critical brake failure and other related safety issues, this started after a brake repair at Middletown Honda. I returned to the dealer and they indicated that it-??s the fuel injectors misfiring and need replacement. They also indicated that the spark plugs need replacement. I gave approval to replace the spark plugs and the vehicle ran well until I added fuel to the vehicle. then the problem returned. There-??s currently a recall on Honda models 2014-2016 for the fuel injectors and I want this vehicle year to be included. Thank you

On October 10, 2022 I had brake work done and the computer system starting indicating failures. The computer electrical system continues indicating major failures while driving and the messages indicate critical failures throughout the vehicle. The brake fluid was lower than normal and once filled the lights went out. Then on October 20, 2022 the computer began indicating problems once again.

2018 CRV repeatedly had emergency brake amber light go on in the center of the dashboard. It goes on for a few seconds then shuts back off. This has been happening intermittently for the last two months. It has happened in the past(years ago) but there is no documentation of that complaint. Took vehicle to Honda dealership last week. Initially could not find what was wrong. Finally after hours of running tests? It came down to one code and that the issue was the electronic brake booster. The vehicle stayed overnight. After paying a large sum of money, 5 days later, the light turned on amber on the dash again. I called Honda Service repeatedly but could not reach the Service personnel that had assisted me 5 days previously. Finally talked to another service manager last evening at 6:00 p.m. Bringing car in first thing Friday Morning October 21st. One service manager stated that she had not seen this problem before. There are a few incidences that can be found on the internet with what appear to be simple fixes i.e. low brake fluid, air in line, problem with software, problem with a line to the display and still others. The end all was the issue was treated as a safety issue by one, while another person stated something alluding to if it was a serious safety issue the warning light on the dash would have been red and not amber. In addition, yesterday when the light came on.(after the problem was purportedly repaired) I was doing about 40. There was a brief pause/resistance to the brake as I was slowing. This happened on a main thoroughfare at 0915 a.m. None of this has made ANY sense and I stated as such.

While driving all of the dash warning lights concerning the Honda Sensing System came on with malfunction warnings. This has happened multiple times since that first occasion but mostly occurs the first time the car is used that day. Sometimes turning the car off and on resets the problem. I have a video of the warning lights, and the malfunction was witnessed by my local mechanic. The dealership looked at the car at a time when the warning lights were not on and couldn't identify anything wrong with the vehicle. They assured me the car is safe to drive, but the Honda Sensing Package is deactivated.

All safety lights are showing on dash. This is NOT due to low battery power as it happened before and after replacement. I have reset the infotainment and even disconnected and reconnected the battery. The problem always comes back. I have been to two mechanics and spoken with a Honda dealer. No one has been able to fix the problem. Hill assist, cruise control, awd, and other electronic safety systems no longer work. I have seen multiple discussion boards where Crv owners are experiencing this major safety issue. There needs to be a recall and Honda needs to take ownership of this problem.

Honda CR-V 2018. Faulty camshaft. About August 7. While driving I had car act sluggish. Noticed my dashboard lights on. About a few weeks later about Sept 17 my car changed gears on me while driving. Sept 30 2022 had diagnostics done at dealer. I have a text. Per McDavid Honda of Plano TX. -??We're done with the diagnostics, your vehicle had an intermediate failure on your Camshaft position sensor.-?? Avail for inspection. The sensor can cause safety risks as the car stalling while driving. Engine misfire. Transmission shifting issues. Car may not start. Car can jerk forward while driving as a result of an improper amount of fuel being injected into cylinders. Poor acceleration. First appeared in August. Had dealer review on about 8/25/22. Said they fixed it but it wasn-??t fixed. 9/30/22 had dealer do diagnostics testing. Again they said it was fixed. It was not fixed. Having dealer look at it again 10/3/22. Warning signs include sensor lights on dashboard: engine light, emission system problem, brake system fail, parking sensor fail, tire pressure system problem, electric parking brake problem, auto high beam problem, road departure system problem, adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem, hill start assist problem, vehicle stability problem, power steering system problem, brake hold system problem,

I was having multiple electrical issues with the car, malfunctioning radio, flashing etc. I had it checked out at Mahwah Honda and they stated no issues. Last week I was in an accident in which my car was deemed totaled. As I was crossing the intersection a car sped through a red light traveling at a high speed hitting my passenger side. This caused the passenger air bags to deploy (I was traveling alone) and the impact caused me to hit another car across the roadway. The driver side air bags did not deploy even though I hit another car. I do not understand why my air bags did not go off and do not recall if the on star worked as well. I do not know if this is all related to the electrical issues I reported which Honda dismissed.

After attempting to start the vehicle after being parked for a short time the vehicle failed to start. The electronics, flashed, the horn seemed to work, and the brake pushed back when depressed to start. Pushback on the brake pedal was unexpected and extremly powerful. It was later determined that the vehicle battery had failed with no warning. This is the second time in just over four years that the mamufacturers battery has failed without any warning. *** had the battery failed (either time) while the vehicle was in montion the result could have been catestrophic with the possible loss of life or serious injury*** research online indicates that this is a systemic problem in this model year, however, the manufacturer has not contacted me to remedy the situation. There are apparently no recalls on this specific problem.

When driving the 2018 CRV, all dashboard warning lights appeared. This happened on three occasions and the Honda dealership indicated it was a known issue with this generation CRV where the fuel injectors would fail and trigger all warning lights. Honda has extended the warranty on a number of CRV-??s from 2018 to cover the fuel injector failure, but the extension does not (at this time) apply to my particular CRV. I have asked the dealership and Honda corporate for assistance with no success. This is a dangerous known problem and Honda is not willing to recall the fuel injectors.
