Problems first presented: Auto door lock malfunction, auto- rain sensing wiper malfunction would come on when dry, not come on when wet; navigation system went crazy on the highway flashing on and off when using it; twice the auto breaking system came on when on the highway with nothing in front of me....going 50 mph! I very well could have been rear ended. I saw no obstruction on the road. I have had the vehicle in twice to the dealer only to be told it does not happen and they have no bulletins regarding these issues.

3 time while driving on the fwy 65 mph with the cruise control activated, lane control activated, and the distance set to minimum, with no one in front of me, the car detected the car to the right of me and slammed on the brakes, and causing the person behind me to slam on their brake almost causing an accident. This happened between April of 2019 and Oct of 2019. When I brought it into the dealership they said that there was dirt on the milliwave radar, found code P2583-97, I found this to be highly unlikely because the car was spotless. The second time I took the car to the dealership, they said the could not duplicate the problem. When asked how they diagnosed the car they said they drove it 10 miles down a bolsa chica rd. I told the sevice person that that was not the same conditions as I was driving and that they could not have gotten the car up to 65 mph when the speed limit was 45 mph and it wasn't a fwy. Her response was we are not allowed to drive cars on the fwy. I said then how are you do duplicate the condition of the problem. This car has been into the dealership for multable electronic issue, none of which have been solved yet. All I get is the same answer, cant duplicate the problem. I believe this car has had these problems since it was sold new and the person before me turned this car in with only 8000 miles on it for a new car that they could trust. This is a safety issue ad could cause me to get into an accident thats not my fault.

Had issues with electrical such as warning lights in the past, 38,000 miles had fuel injectors replaced. Mention when I got the car that it did not heat properly, they said it was normal. Does not heat when idling. So I started checking it out and everybody else is having the same issue. Idling.

While driving on slick roads I was using blueooth to have a telephone conversation. A car swerved in front of me causing me to swerve to avoid an accident. The bluetooth disengaged and I heard the doors automatically click to lock (they were already locked). I assume these are built in safety features. When I came to a stop, the electronic door lock overrode the manual lock for the driver side door and would not unlock; I could not exit through the driver side door. I tried many times to use the fob or to manually unlock the driver side door to no avail.I had to exit using the passenger door. The driver side door lock refused to work until I used the physical key to open the door from the outside. Using the physical key appeared to re-set the electronic door lock system and it then worked normally.

My 2018 cr V has been in for service with the same problem 5 times. Basically on my morning commute from norco to los angeles I sporadically get an error message, road mitigation system problem, adaptive cruise control problem, collision mitigation system problem, road departure system problem along with a brake light cycle through my dashboard and all these systems fail to work. This will last the rest of my commute and all lights are off when I drive home later on in the day. The first couple of times I brought the car in, they sent it home with me because they could not find error codes, problem still present. Finally this last time the technician adjusted some cameras to see if that could fix the problem, it did not. My car is still in your shop at penske Ontario and the technician who called me yesterday said this is a normal feature of this car, and the Honda hotline does not have this problem reported. He informed me that the car is picking up something that is causing it to fail. My commute is at 4am on a non busy freeway, I have not noticed construction nor major road damage when this happens. If the road conditions were the problem, I drive this commute a lot and this does not happen then. This sounds like their is no solution to my problem and I am given a generic answer. I have done my research and I am not the only person experiencing this with the cr V. the dealer has informed me they will be doing nothing further for my problem. This happens multiple times

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. while driving 65 mph, the cruise control and road departure warning indicators illuminated. There was also a mitigation system failure and a beeping noise was heard. The driver coasted into a parking lot and depressed the brake pedal, and all the warning indicators turned off. The contact called buerkle Honda (3360 hey 61 N vadnais heights, mn 55110, (651) 490-6600) where an appointment was scheduled. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The contact stated that the failure recurred twice. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. On 9/23/19 parked the vehicle. Shut off vehicle while still in drive. The vehicle did not alert me that the car was not in park. Got out of car and door locked like everything was okay - no other beeps or notifications. Vehicle rolled out of driveway and hit a tree causing significant rear damage (thankfully did not hit any other vehicle or pedestrian). Brought to Honda dealership and they could not find anything although I explained that the warning indicators work intermittently. Finally on 10/2/19 I videotaped an incident where it did not alert me in anyway when I shut the car off and left in the drive gear (images from video attached). Honda states emergency parking brake should always be engaged; however, this does not fix the fact that the safety notifications are not working as expected. Definitely a vehicle safety issue.

I bought a Honda CR-V 2018 last year in May. The vehicle only have 8000 miles on it. Now I recently notice that when I am starting the car when pressing on the brake and pressing the start button. It will try to start but fails. It seems you need to do this numerous times to start the vehicle. This have been happening to me in the last 3 days. I called the Honda dealer about it and schedule an appointment with them tomorrow.

Reoccurring issue of the infotainment screen either freezing or going bazerk while driving. Either nothing works, including the power button to turn the whole display off, or the button works, cuts the display off and the radio continues to play, or the display starts flashing between screens, adjusting the brightness, beeping continuously and sometimes making phone calls all while driving down the road. The only way to get it to stop is to pull off the road and cut the car off. This seems to be an issue with multiple people posting here..... who knows how many people aren't going thru this process to report. Isn't this distraction while driving dangerous enough to be investigated and provide for a recall. I have a video but don't know how to load it. It has happened multiple times before and after the video I took, but I'll use the date of the video. Hoping that posting to this site will bring some action.

My recent encounter was on a two lane road traveling at 40 mph. No cars were in front of me and a car was about 2 car lengths behind me. A MINIschool bus was heading in the other direction about 2 car lengths on the other side of the road. I had my two grandchildren in the car with me, when all of a sudden the car breaked hard sending all my things on the floor and scarring my granddaughters. I was shaken myself being nearly rear ended by the car behind me. I took it in to atlantic Honda, and was told ' no problems were found on the computer and could not duplicate the issue'. 'never had anyone complain of this'. I also advised them, the break light flashes 'out of the blue' while driving on the highway with no other cars around. I was told to bring it in if it happens again. I feel on edge driving the car not knowing if it will break unexpectedly!

I continue to get random "lane departure" when driving down a normal road. Have taken to the dealer twice and they can not repeat the problem. Today I was driving on a one way street in city traffic with nobody in front of me and several behind me, as I was going through a signal light intersection the CRV went into collision alert with a warning on the dash and beeping, it slammed on the brakes and I was almost rear ended. There was nobody in front of me or coming from either side of the cross street. This has happen one time before when I was passing through a construction zone and one lane had cones cutting a two lane down to one lane. It again slammed an the brakes as if I was leaving the road. I also have problems with the auto dimming headlights that dim when they should not and go to bright sometimes when meeting traffic and should be dim. I have taken to the dealer for this also more than one time and they could not repeat the problem. I also get random messages that power has been lost to my information center (pictures included). I do not feel safe in this Honda CRV and the dealer seems they are just wanting me to be out of warranty or don't care.

I was driving Saturday 27, 2019 about 9:00 am in the pulaski skyway in New Jersey then all of the sudden all the display warning lights went on and off until the car stall and the engine just stop working but the warning lights( every single one) just kept going on and off. I couldn't do anything as you may know the pulaski skyway has not place to pull over, you can imagine the traffic jam that my broke down car cause. The weekend of the 07/21/2019 I had a strong smell of gasoline in the cabin and when I check the oil dipstick it was overfill and had the strong smell of gasoline I called the dealer planet Honda and they told me to bring my car to check on 07/25/2019, the same day the dealer called me and said that is nothing wrong with the car and the smell of gasoline and the overfill engine oil was normal. I have no confidence on driving my Honda CRV anymore. I bought the car on 06/15/2019 with 5,300 miles on it.

The audio control panel (radio, heat, light brightness, etc) has a mind of it's own and at times will get into a mode where it cycles all the controls on-off-changing volume-brightness-switching radio stations and other things. It had been reported several times to the dealership with no faults found. I finall managed to capture this on my camera and sent it to the dealer. They then replaced the panel. No issues for a couple months and then it started again. I returned to the dealer who told me Honda would not try to do anything to fix the issue. The subcontractor who made these panels was aware it had problems and "were working on a fix". in the mean time I have to try to drive with it making all these changes while it blinks, changes intensity and volume. This is a very substandard situation.I have movies of the panel doing this but no pictures.

The navigation/infotainment display works intermittently while driving the vehicle, it becomes unusable and also just blacks out so if you are using the navigation while driving it becomes inoperable and the only way to correct it is to pull over turn the car off and restart it which is dangerous. Honda has stated that they are aware of the problem but have no solution yet.

There are recurring problems with the infotainment system display: 1. numerous times the display has gone full freak-out while the car was in motion. The display turns itself on and off, attempts to adjust its own brightness and repeatedly beeps. The only way to stop the madness is to pull over and shut the car off. This is a totally uncool thing to happen when one is trying to pay attention to the traffic around them. Please also reference NHTSA complaint #11132814 for this same vehicle. 2. even though the touch screen sensitivity is set the highest level, sometimes you must press the 'cyber buttons' repeatedly before the unit registers that you have pressed a button. While I am motoring down the road pressing faux buttons 10-15 times to try to get the unit to do something guess where my eyes are not'yeah, on the road in front of me where my eyes should be paying attention. The manufacturer states that my infotainment system display/control unit is working per spec.
