The contact-??s husband owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that her husband was driving at an unknown speed when the vehicle stalled. The battery warning light illuminated. However, the battery was replaced but the failure recurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the Body Control Module (BCM) needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified and the contact was informed that no parts were available. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000. The VIN was not available

There is an electrical issue with the car. On 07/14/2022, I took the car to the dealer for diagnosis of an electrical issue. The result of the diagnosis was a faulty Body control module. When the vehicle is shut off, the ignition spontaneously turns on and off and ultimately stays on. This kills the battery within a couple of hours. I have my own scan tool and plugged it to the OBD2 port. I attached the codes reported when I scanned it. I cannot drive it because the battery is currently dead and will go dead if I do drive it and shut it off for any considerable length of time. This has been such an inconvenience. The dealer couldn't even give me a rental while I wait for the parts to come in. I tried jumping the car to start it, but the problem still persists. I also have video documentation of the problem but couldn't upload it here.
