The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated after starting the vehicle, a knocking noise was heard coming from the engine compartment. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that there was fuel dilution in the engine oil and that the rod bearings needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds, the vehicle was stalling and losing motive power. The vehicle was able to restart. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact then stated that while his wife was driving at approximately 30 MPH and merging onto a road, the vehicle stalled, she lost control of the steering wheel, and she crashed into a ditch where the vehicle came to a stop. The contact stated that the air bags had failed to deploy and that his wife was hospitalized with neck, shoulder, and back injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the undercarriage, radiator, oil drain pan, and additional unknown components needed to be replaced. The contact referenced the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number:?21V215000; however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle remained at the dealer awaiting repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure was 15,000.

- When I was switching lanes on the highway my dashboard started flashing brake system problem, steering wheel system problem, tire pressure system problem, etc. The engine light, breaker system light, battery light, steering wheel light, and a few others turned on. After coming to a complete stop my car would not turn off. After pushing the -??power button-?? multiple times it turned off completely. - My safety and the safety of others on the road were put at risk when my car started slowing down as if the break was being pushed on its own on a 55mph highway. My car automatically slowed down to 35mph on its own causing me to park it on a solitary road next to the highway. - unknown - No - The car has shown on the dashboard to -??brake-?? when no cars are in front of it a few times before.

The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH and making a right turn, there was a squealing rattling sound coming from the engine compartment and the vehicle would not properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The message check oil pressure was displayed. Upon inspection, the contact noticed an odor of fuel was present in the engine oil. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the engine and turbocharger were faulty and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer later determined that only the high-pressure fuel pump and lifter pump were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was 61,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing a software glitch. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that there was sludge in the engine and the engine and turbo needed to be replaced. The DTC: P0299 was displayed regarding the turbo under boost. Additionally, there was an abnormally strong oil odor inside and outside the vehicle. The contact declined the repair. The engine oil was drained and refilled. The manufacturer was notified of the but no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 69,000.

Started smelling an odor of fuel inside the vehicle then noticed the oil level was over the full mark. The dipstick smelled like fuel mixed with the oil. I had taken the same vehicle in for a recall that was supposed to take care of this issue. During the cold months the vehicle never really warmed up the heat guage would hardly warm up with one bar and sometimes the bars would go down as I drove with the heat on full blast. I took it back on April 19. 2019 and found gasoline was in fact mixing in with the oil. The dipstick was a quart over full. According to the dealership there is currently no fix out from Honda.
