18 Honda CRV, 40k miles now. All of my warning lights just came on at once last week. I took my car to the dealer, they charged $147 for inspection and said I needed new fuel injectors with $2000 estimate.

I am so disppointed and frustrated. Exactly ONE year ago my 2018 CRV had power issues. Loss power, excessive and unsafe deceleration when driving on State Highway 20. Every warning light and driver assist notification light up on the dash. My car was jerking and I had to pull to the side of the road. Thankfully not to far from home and able to drive to the house but could not get over 20MPH. Took to the dealer, fuel pump replaced at MY COST. Here we are ONE yeat later and all dash board lights on again in similar fashion. Car is currently at dealer ship with noted need for fuel injectors. I find it peculiar and upsetting as having done research 2022 and now again 2023: there have been issues with fuel pump and fuel injectors reported on NHTSA, forums, to honda and articles about the recurrent issues with the 2018 CRV and Honda does not want to be responsible. There were some recalls of the 2018 CRV but my VIN# did not identify as one. The 2018 CRV has recurrent issues in this department. My car was part of the S/B 18-114 campaign to "fix" and issue reguarding the oil/fuel mixture and here my car is having issues that I feel are a result.

Fuel injectors, sending too much fuel into spark plugs. Accelerated and nothing happened. Except jumping and bucking motions. Drifted to side of road. every single light on the dashboard came on, and the vehicle was not drivable. Towed to Honda where this was diagnosed. $2,200 plus repair bill to replace fuel injectors and spark plugs. 2018 crv 1.5 engine, 138,000 miles.

We had just gotten off the freeway and were sitting at a stoplight. When the light turned green, all of a sudden several of the yellow warning lights on the dashboard started to flash: emergency braking, electronic parking break, tire pressure, lane-keep assist, and others. The car became sluggish and moved forward haltingly and slowly. It feels like the breaks or the parking break are cycling on and off. We pulled over as soon as we could. Turning the car off didn't clear the warning lights. We called AAA and they came and checked the battery -- which was at 100% and working fine. The parking break works fine; we can hear it turn on and off using the lever. We had it towed to a Honda dealer nearby and are having it evaluated. It is undriveable in this state, and we are concerned that even if the dealer gets the warning lights to shut off, it could happen again at any time. There are reports all over the NHTSA website that this is a common issue -- please investigate!

The High Pressure Fuel Pump (16790-5PC-H02) failed on January 1, 2023 at approximately 11:10am in Seattle, WA. We were taking the interchange from WB SR 520 to SB I-5, which includes a short uphill section, when the engine lost power and completely stalled at the top of the ramp. No warning lamps or other symptoms appeared prior to failure. We were able to push the car and roll it through a gap in the concrete barrier into a vacant road construction site. Had the stall happened one minute later, my wife, our daughters aged 2 and 4, and I would have been stranded in heavy traffic in the number 1 lane of I-5 in an area with no safe shoulder. I cannot imagine how we would have avoided a serious collision in that case. We were not able to restart the car at that time and all repair shops appeared to be closed for New Year's Day, so we had the vehicle towed to our home. The vehicle started without apparent issue several days later, and we brought it to Sa-Go Auto Repair in Bellevue. The mechanic at Sa-Go was not able to immediately reproduce and advised us of fuel pump issues with the 2018 Honda CR-V. He directed us to have a dealer evaluate for recall repair. Honda of Bellevue was not able to reproduce the issue and suggested the stall may have been due to a dirty air filter, which they did not replace before returning the car to us. We returned to Sa-Go Auto Repair where the mechanic conducted an extended test drive with scan tool in sync and confirmed the High Pressure Fuel Pump fell off when the vehicle had been running for more than one hour. High Pressure Fuel Pump and Low Pressure Fuel Module Assembly were replaced by Sa-Go on 1/18/2023 and proper function confirmed on test drive. Old parts, including pumps and air filter, were retained by us and are available for inspection. No parts have been inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others. Invoices and photos attached. Thank you for your consideration.

While driving (road trip 500 miles round trip), all the dashboard lights turned with no real indication of what the issues was. I pulled over to see if there was anything noticeable and did not see anything exteriorly nor once I opened the hood of the car. I continued my drive home (remaining 100 miles or so) and once I parked my car in driveway, I noticed a strong smell with black smoke coming from exhaust pipe with black oil at the end of my tailpipes. My car is currently at dealers getting looked at and they recommended changing my fuel injector and spark plugs, which they completed ($2,000) and I AM STILL having issues.!!! Doing my research online I noticed that there was a recall of this vehicle in China but not in the US, which is unacceptable. Something needs to be done ASAP!

Car starting throwing all error codes at once. No issues driving, took to mechanic, could not find any issues. Did this 3 times, was advised to see Honda dealer for possible computer system update. Honda said it needs all fuel injectors and fuel joint pipe replaced, due to clogged injectors. No indication of this problem, no fuel loss or engine issues. This is a 2018 with 60,000 miles. Have looked this issue up, found that it is a known issue with Honda. They will not warranty the fix, wanting to charge $1723.08 to correct.

Hello NHTS, I have been dealing with my vehicle stalling & losing power while driving on the freeway. This is a very dangerous issue with my Honda CRV. I have had this happen several times now and it was reported to Honda. Honda has not yet placed this issue on recall status. This needs to get looked at before someone gets injured or killed.

My vehicle computer started indicating that there was a critical brake failure and other related safety issues, this started after a brake repair at Middletown Honda. I returned to the dealer and they indicated that it-??s the fuel injectors misfiring and need replacement. They also indicated that the spark plugs need replacement. I gave approval to replace the spark plugs and the vehicle ran well until I added fuel to the vehicle. then the problem returned. There-??s currently a recall on Honda models 2014-2016 for the fuel injectors and I want this vehicle year to be included. Thank you

Vehicle has a history of stumbling at low speed, especially once it stops. This stumble has stalled four times now. This happens from a cold start at random times. First noticed at 25, 213 miles, then 35,422 miles, 48,391, and most recently 49,908 miles. The first time it was taken to a dealer, nothing was found. Most recently I took it to the dealer and they immediately said corporate told them to change the fuel pump relays. This sounds like an ongoing issue with the CRV.

As I was driving home from work, I tried to accelerate to merge onto the highway and my car would not go over 30-40 mph. It felt like it was going to stall. This could have caused a major accident. I was able to make it home. I took the 2018 honda crv to the dealer that night and was told that Turbocharger was broke. During this whole ordeal, the engine light did not come on once, nor leading up to this event. The dealer ran computer diagnostics and nothing came up. They had to take the car apart to find out what was wrong. Because the turbocharger had been broken, this also caused damage to the fuel injectors and they needed replaced. 25 days later, again on my way home from work, every single light and warning message is flashing on my dash, as if there is a battery problem. THERE WAS NO WARNING APPEAR PRIOR TO THIS EVENT. Took it back to the dealer and was told that there is blown head gasket, coolant leaking into the cylinder, no compression in cylinder. Luckily, nothing happened while I was driving. THIS NOW REQUIRES MY WHOLE ENGINE TO BE REPLACED. Seems due to driving with the malfunctioning Turbo, the original problem, WHICH I HAD NO IDEA OR WARNING LIGHT, damaged my car further. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE HONDA CRV 2018 SAFETY ONBOARD DIAGNOSTICS AND IN MY OPINION MALFUNCTIONED.

When I was turning into a parking lot, all of the dashboard warning lights came on and the vehicle lost power. I was able to safely park the vehicle, but I was unable to get the vehicle to maintain power. The vehicle was towed to the nearest Honda dealership. It was determined the fuel injectors failed, causing the spark plugs to fail and fuel to leak into the oil. The dealership said that they had seen this previously in certain years and models. After researching the issue on the internet, it appears that this is a known issue for certain Honda vehicles. Honda agreed to reimburse me for the spark plugs and labor for the spark plugs because it is a known issue. I'm just very lucky that I wasn't on a freeway traveling at higher speeds when this happened. I believe there is a pending class action lawsuit that is trying to force Honda to issue a recall for this problem.

Traveling on I-20 My wife reported the car just quit working with no warning between Atlanta and Birmingham about 90 miles from home. She was able to get to the side of the interstate and called me. She said all the lights on the display were showing as failed systems. Internet search lead me to believe it was the battery. On arrival i installed new battery but symptoms remained car would not start and just shuddered when attempting to start. I called the dealership we purchased from to talk to a tech. I was asked if she was low on gas below 1/2 tank. Yes the gauge shows 1/4 tank remains. I was told to get gas and it should be fine, some of the CRV's run out of gas but read that gas remains. I did get gas and car cranked we drove home. At 63 we don't need this kind of dangerous situation to happen. Think how easily this could have gone from bad to worse. She did call the state patrol and asked for the roadside assistance truck to come. This would at least have some flashing lights. They never made it. The dealership told me on the phone that this was not a recall or covered but they knew about it occurring. They would be glad to fix it at my expense. Money for maintenance is one thing but I might as well let my wife drive a junker if this is what I get when I buy a Honda. This occurred 02/16/22 so I have not been to the dealer for their evaluation, just to the gas station.

I have a 2018 Honda CR-V purchased 12/4/2017. During the fall/winter of 2018, the warning lights and bells came on for apparently no reason and the vehicle would barely move down the road. Turning off the vehicle and restarting it fixed the issue with the vehicle moving however the lights remained on. I took the vehicle in to be checked by the dealer at least twice, but they were unable to find any problem. At this time the only possible solution that I found from searching the problem on google was a possible loose battery connection or low voltage in batter. They reset the computer and it has continued to occur multiple times since then. Once again on Friday, February 4, 2022, I took the vehicle in for a service with the warning lights all on again. They fixed some extended warranty issues which they thought fixed the problem. However, within less than 5 minutes after starting the vehicle all the lights were on again. At this time, I again did a google search for this issue and now I am finding that 4 years later with hundreds of people continuing to have the same problem repeatedly the fix that seems to be the actual solution is to replace the fuel injectors. Yet, Honda is refusing to recognize this as their problem and forcing their customers to foot the bill for this repair that has obviously been an issue since the vehicle was purchased. When all the warning lights are on none of the vehicle safety features work and all the flashing lights and dinging bells are a major driver distraction. Nevermind when start your car and attempt to pull onto the road and the vehicle will not run over 5 miles an hour with the gas pedal to the floor. I had to pull over on the side of the road which was not wide enough for me to get out of the road and turn off my ignition and restart my car. Thankfully it would accelerate at a normal speed afterwards and I was able to get home safely.

My CRV TOURING 2018 has a little over 23,000 miles. I started the car and all of the safety lights come on as malfunctioning. I could not get the vehicle to back up out of the garage. I never put the brakes on. I finally was able to get it out of the garage and to the dealership. Two of the personnel at the dealership said they had never seen that many lights on the dash come on and some they had never seen. This is the second battery that has been put into the car and the charge was good. The car was looked at for several hours. They did not know what was wrong and reset the system some how and I went home. The paperwork said I told them the car was hard to start which I never said. Three days later upon starting the car all of the same lights and warnings came on. This time I was able to back up with no issues. I went straight to the dealer and asked them to do an ECU check. They said it could be the fuel injectors; however could not guarantee that would solve the problem with all the lights coming on. Had the car all day and came back with about 7 codes. I had to ask what the codes were as they had not been written down on my statement. I wrote them down and looked them up that night. Two of them were under warranty. The mechanic did not know the two codes were under warranty and did not look into it further. I took the car in for the third time and had the codes updated and checked. One was for the injectors which they said failed. The other was a check for spark plugs, etc. to help eliminate the source of problem. Again, they said the problem was the injectors and the cost to repair would be $2,200. I have requested a Good Will Repair which was over three weeks ago. Honda North America said the District Manager would be handling it and then I was told that the District Manager would let the Service Manager at Honda dealership handle it. That person has not returned my calls. I am not driving my car much and really need it badly.

While driving on a busy interstate in the rain my car completely lost power and started sputtering. It felt like it was out of gas, however, the gas light was not on and I had about 1/4 tank of gas. I was only able to make it to the on ramp and not completely off of the interstate. Once the car was shut off it would not restart. We had it towed to the dealership where we still have an extended performance warranty. It was a Saturday night so I did not hear from the until Monday morning. The service tech said they believed it was out of gas but I explained there was no warning and shouldnt have been out of gas. When the tech called back he again said it was out of gas and that was it so I pushed to do more. The manager called back the next day and stated since i have an extended warranty they will run diagnostics. That came back it was the fuel pump module. This has been recalled on other 2018 Honda CRV's but my VIN was not included. The tech acted like he was not even aware there had been a recall.

My car dashboard went crazy, all lights lit up and various problems flashing. Took my car in and today they are telling me a fuel injector problem will cost $2,500 to repair. That they have never seen this. However, when doing research the 2017-2018 Honda CRVs are having issues with this and yet a safety recall hasn't been issued." This is my 3rd Honda and will probably be my last. Very disappointed in this one. Nothing but issues. Tire pressure monitor system is screwed up as well that started after it was a week old. If a vehicle is having issues, why isn't a recall been made"

All warning lights come on as a result of this issue. Vehicle has under 100k miles on it. As a result, when operating vehicle, many safety features are unable to be used: Tire Pressure Monitoring System Adaptive Cruise Control Braking System Failure Power Steering Failure Vehicle Stability Assist and a myriad of other warning lights. This makes this vehicle, purchased for many of these safety features, UNSAFE and a hazard. Fuel injectors should not be failing so early in the life cycle of a vehicle. Speaking with Service Advisors at the dealership this is a manufacturing issue with other models, but not with this model. Research on the internet and Honda forums indicates this is a KNOWN ISSUE which Honda REFUSES to make right. Instead consumers are forced to pay outrageous repair fees and usually only at their dealerships due to the specialty of the parts involved. Honda should be addressing this manufacturing issue rather than forcing consumers to pay for their mistakes with a virtually brand new car.
