The fuel injectors caused engine ecm to set codes for missfire and cylinder inbalance. as a result of the car disabled all adas systems such as lane keep lane departure, forward colision alerts, parking brake, cruise control. 11 different warning messages scrolled across dash.Car was diagnosed at independant import specialist garage as needing fuel injectors. Car has 82,000 miles. Garage told me this was common on hondas and honda had extended warranty on the fuel injectors on v6 cars, but not on 1.5 4cyl cars. I purchased this car new with expectations of increased safety, however when a part failure shuts these systems down it defeats that purpose. I have driven mutiple cars to 300,000+ miles and never had to replace fuel injectors. just google crv fuel injector problems and you will see i am not the only case of this

With this report I am trying to PREVENT an incident from happening. I received the Honda recall notice dated May 2024 for my 2018 CR-V regarding an improperly molded impeller within the fuel pump module. Notice stated "An inoperable fuel pump could prevent an engine from starting, cause a vehicle to lose drive power, or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury". I contacted my dealer and was told there literally were no replacement parts anywhere in the United States and none would be available until sometime in the fall. However, if the vehicle should become inoperable (possibly while actually driving it) an order for the part could be requested. Is there any way Honda can be compelled to expedite this process? This is our only vehicle and we frequently need to drive on the very crowded interstate near the Phoenix area. We are hesitant to drive a vehicle we've been told by the dealer has an "increasing risk of a crash or injury".

I was unable to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. The dealers told me they didn-??t have the parts necessary for my impeller until the end of this summer. However, the paper I received about my safety recall states that for the first appointment, which I made, will have my situation fixed within two months. The end of the summer is not two months. Moreover, when I made my first appointment on March 15, 2024, they initially cancelled it before I made another appointment to which they told me the parts would only be available at the end of the summer. If this isn-??t fixed soon by the end of the summer, this highly raises my concern about the safety of driving this vehicle for both me and my family.

I have been receiving letters from Honda for a couple of months for a safety recall pertaining o fuel pump. In this period, I took my vehicle ([XXX], 2024) for major servicing and my vehicle was not serviced for recall quoting "Unavailability of spare parts". This month ([XXX], 2024) specifically scheduled my vehicle for safety recall servicing. Got a call from the dealer again stating "Unavailability of spare parts" and that they will call me. I have received a recall notice from Honda again yesterday. In effect, they are complying with NHTSA recall, however not servicing vehicles on the ground for no fault of the consumer. Good afternoon, my Crv 2018 is having the indicated problems that indicate that the fuel pump has defects, I contacted the dealer and they made an appointment for January and when I showed up they told me that they did not have the fuel pump that they would order it and It took two weeks, they have gone 4 times and they have not resolved me. I have called more than 6 times and the response is always different saying that it is American Honda's fault because it has not sent the parts. In the recall it specifies that it is a risk of have an accident if the problem is not dealt with in time but at Honda 65 in Carolina P.R they do not take it seriously.

I was driving on the highway at a speed of 65-70 MPH. The car's adaptive cruise control was set and keeping pace. Suddenly, every light on the dash turned on with the adaptive cruise control and lane assist turning off. Luckily my hands were on the wheel and the car didn't leave the lane. Eventually, this was diagnosed and attributed to faulty fuel injectors. This seems to be a common problem with the 2017 model Honda CRVs and luckily for me, ended safely. But if this was my wife or kid driving, it could have ended poorly. I still ask why is the fuel injector issue, which makes the car engine run more rich, connected to the cruise control / lane assist software that can result in a safety problem.

The vehicle began running rough Spring 2023 and all the lights on the dashboard lit up. The local mechanic did not identify any serious problem and the lights all going off seemed to be a separate issue since the whole dashboard was lit up. We continued driving it out of necessity and eventually it began stalling. Then we took it back to our mechanic who identified the fuel injectors as the issue and recommended that we take it to the dealership. We took it to the dealership and they charged $3000 for the fuel injector replacement and also did some minor recall repairs. When my husband drove it off the lot, it stalled again so he brought it back and identified that it still was not repaired. They then kept it for 2-3 more weeks and repaired the head gasket. We took it home and drove it for another 6 mths and then it stalled again when my husband was driving at 65mph on a bridge. He safely pulled over but the vehicle had trouble restarting as it had in Spring of 2023 from time to time when it was riding rough. This time there were no warning lights related to the issue. The dash now has some warning lights. We have not driven it since and the part for the fuel pump from Honda is not available until Fall 2024 so we are without a vehicle even though we paid for a new vehicle that we hoped would last us beyond 6 years.

I am currently shopping for a Honda CRV when I learned that the vehicle has an active recall that has yet to be addressed. When looking into it further and contacting the local Honda dealership, they notified me that they would be unable to handle my request for service (should I decide to purchase the vehicle) until sometime in the fall. It is currently March. Half a year is a long time to wait for repair to a vital system of the car I read so many positive things about. Please reference NHTSA recall # 23V-858. In the Remedy section of the NHTSA recall description it states, 'The dealer will replace the fuel pump module with an improved part.' The actual recall notice states 'The replacement parts needed to repair your vehicle are not currently available but are expected to be available in the fall of 2024'! Honda lists this as an IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL and failure of the pump may result in a crash or injury. I'll have to drive my CR-V for the next, at least, 6 months facing this possibility.
