American Honda sent me a letter notifying of recall for fuel pump issue in February of 2024 and a followup letter in May 2024. I called you on September 27, 2024 and was told to call American Honda. I called them that day and was told parts would probably be available in late October or early November. I called them again today and they transferred my call to a local Honda dealership (Penske on 96th St in Indianapolis). The dealer indicated they had trouble getting parts from Honda and to call back in a month. This issue has been know for nearly a year and Honda has done nothing.

During December 2023, news agencies, Honda, & the NHTSB reported CRV fuel pump module may have an improperly molded impeller. Should this part malfunction, the vehicle obviously shuts down immediately losing power steering, braking, and other vital functions. I was initially told by the local Honda dealer that replacement parts were anticipated in August 2023. I received notice from Honda in May 2024 stating limited replacement parts were available and would be utilized for vehicles experiencing malfunction. In July I again contacted the Honda dealership inquiring as to when remaining vehicles could expect repair & was told they had been informed October 2024. I called Honda Corporate customer service this morning asking the same question & was given the same answer I rec'd back in July. It's now approaching 12 months since the recall was issued and multitudes of Honda owners are still forced to drive unsafe vehicles exposing themselves, family members, & other motorists to fatal accidents. Honda has not corrected this issue in a timely manner yet continues to manufacture & sell multitudes of new vehicles every day. Please use the agency's authority, even if Honda is required to halt production of new vehicles, & require Honda correct the issue immediately. If this issue isn't resolved soon, I plan to contact a U.S. Senator to review the issue. PS: we purchased a 2022 Honda CRV and have recently received a recall relative to potential fuel pump cracking & ensuing fire.

On my 2018 Honda CR-V EX noticed car almost stalling when stepping on accelerator. Took vehicle to dealership and was told it was the Fuel Injectors failing. The dealership said it is the EXACT SAME Fuel Injectors that are on the 2018 Honda Accord that are part of a Recall due to safety concerns BUT that Honda has NOT issued a Recall for the CR-V, even though it has the EXACT SAME Fuel Injectors as the Accord. They were no warning lamps or messages. The cost to repair this issue was $1,273.57 to Repair the Fuel Injectors, which I paid directly to the dealership.

Every warning light came on at the same time. Everything except the cruise control and lane assist works, eventhough the warning lights are on. There is nothing wrong when driving, the car accelerates fine, brakes work fine. Only the cruise control and lane assist are affected by all the warning lights. Took car to the Honda dealership and was told 2 of my fuel injectors are completely clogged, but I have to replace all 4 of them. Why would fuel injector issue cause EVERY warning light to come on. My car gets great gas mileage (and has since I bought it brand new). Have read numerous forums with this same issue from 2017 Honda CRV to 2023 CRV's. Some have had their fuel injectors replaced and the problem comes back in a few weeks. If the fuel injectors aren't the issue, what exactly is making this happen and how do we know it won't cause the brakes and every other system to fail while driving down the street?

There are actually two issues that are going on with this car. First off, on three separate occasions, while driving at 70 mph on the freeway in traffic, my car has braked for me and the collision warning went off. However, there was nobody in front of me. The person behind me almost rear ended my vehicle on the last occasion this has happened. Now, my car is undrivable. Three times, ALL my sensor lights went off. The first time, we changed the battery, thinking the battery was dying. The second time, we took it to Affordable Autobody in Murrieta, CA. They ran a diagnostic and stated that we did not reset the computer when the battery was changed. The third time ALL the sensor lights went on, we took it to DCH Temecula, CA. They ran a diagnostic and said that it was the fuel injectors. Our mechanic stated that the fuel injectors are going bad due to a bad fuel pump. My car has been sitting at the dealership for more than a week, undrivable. We contacted claims department, but no action has been taken. DCH Temecula states they have no available fuel pumps and will not fix the injectors unless the claims department orders it. I have left without a loaner car, stranded. Nobody seems to be taking this seriously and there is no time frame as to when this situation will be fixed. It is becoming a huge inconvenience not having a way to get to work. Please help!

Ref: NHTSA Recall # 23V-858 Recall of fuel pump received February 2024 and as of today (October 2024) replacement part(s) not available nor can the Honda dealer (Honda on Grand, Elmhurst, IL) advise or even give an estimate of when the parts will be available. I truly feel that Honda/mfg has been provided a "reasonable" amount of time to deal with and correct the situation. Vehicle has had NO symptoms to date but tick tick tick - if/when symptoms do occur it may likely place occupants of the vehicle in a perilous situation.

I am writing to report noncompliance with the fuel pump recall for 2018 Honda CRVs. I was unable to find a place to report such noncompliance, so I ask that you refer this complaint ot the appropriate enforcement unit of the NHTSA. Since the recall was announced last spring, I have on three occasions asked my Honda dealer/service provider (Honda of Princeton) when my fuel pump will be replaced. Each time they have said that no fuel pumps are available and have added that there is not really a problem and that if my fuel pump malfunctions, they will replace it immediately --- which of course goes against the spirit of the recall, which is to avoid preventable accidents due to fuel-pump malfunctioning. They have been giving me later and later dates for a replacement fuel pump, and it appears that compliance with the NHTSA recall is in an ever receding future.

Issue: Car loses power while driving. Event: Started car, drove down a hill about 1.5 miles. Tried to accelerate, lost all power, CEL started blinking. Limped car to safe location but could not accelerate over 5 mph. Next start, all vehicle warning lights flashing on dashboard. Code reader threw a P0310, P0300 (engine misfire). Problem reproduced/confirmed by independent service center. Preliminary diagnostics (swapped ignition coils and spark plugs 1&2 to 3&4, reinspected, misfires still on 1&2) suggesting possible fuel injector faults. Recommended working with Honda directly for further diagnostics because fuel injectors are replaced as an assembly and often require programming by a dealer, also problem seems similar to recall issue. Concern: Vehicle has 42,000 miles; fuel injectors should not fail at this mileage. Received a Honda safety recall letter in February 2024 NHTSA Recall Number: 23V-858/Honda Campaign number KGC. Called Honda after unsafe driving event (loss of power while driving). Honda stated that the recall for my VIN was rescinded. However, the problem seems very likely related to this recall.

I received a safety recall in February 2024 about a faulty fuel pump. Then I got another notice saying the parts would be here this fall as do they are not. The safety consequences are a stall while driving increasing the risk of a crash or injury. I am increasingly worried about driving my car. I don-??t understand why it is taking so long to resolve this issue. Honda is making fuel pumps for their new cars and this safety recall is not a priority for them. I

When you turn on the car, all warning lights come on, ALL error messages that can be displayed are displayed, and safety features become disabled. The systems resets after you turn the car on & off at least 5 times but the issue always reappears. Error codes P0172 & P219C have been detected during the issue. The dealer replaced the fuel injectors to remedy the issue.

I have received a recall on my car last year, and I called multiple dealership to see if they have any parts available, then said they don-??t have any parts. So I have to wait for the Honda letter to be notified that if the parts are available. But now I am experiencing engine hesitation recently and i am very worried about it becomes a safety issue, so I called Honda of Seattle and Lynwood Honda again and told them this problem, but they still keep saying that they don-??t have the parts and they can-??t do anything for me.

American Honda states they do not have parts to address my 2018 Honda CRV LX fuel pump problem. Our local Honda dealer Charlie's Honda Augusta, Maine does not have parts available to them, so they say. However, my mechanic was told by a number of Honda parts dealers that they do have the parts but are not allowed to sell them (illegal) to anyone but a Honda dealer. Also, Charlie's Honda and Lee Honda Auburn, Maine say they must charge me for $150 for an engine diagnostic before they will look at my vehicle. So, I had my mechanic install a Delphi 2270N fuel pump assembly for $700. This recall has been open since December 2023, winter is coming and I want a safe vehicle to drive. I feel that Honda has engaged in deceptive practices and has become another Boeing. I would like to recoup any monies that I can from Honda for this repair since American Honda and Charlie's Honda have proven to be less than cooperative. Also, American Honda will not remove the recall against my vehicle without paying for a $150 engine diagnostic fee at Charlie's Honda after my car has been fixed and is running well. I think NHTSA needs to allow non-dealer mechanics to do repair work on recalls, charged back to the recalled vehicle manufacturer and the auto companies need to make sure the non-dealer mechanics have access to repair parts. I have contacted American Honda and Honda Motor Co. - Japan.

All of the warning lights and maintenance lights turn on at all times during driving. I have taken it to the dealer multiple times and after changing the fuel injectors, the light supposedly seemed to stay off. The day after I got it back from the dealer, all the lights started flashing again, the car stalled and lost power in the middle of the road. Pressing on the gas would not do anything. The car was essentially in neutral. I was able to turn it off and then on again and took it back to the dealer once the recall came for the fuel pump, to have the part changed. I was told they couldn-??t change it, even though it was recalled, because they found that it didn-??t need to be changed.
