CR-V LX 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 47,000 miles

Radio console went dark. Tried all suggestions found online. Holding power button, disconnecting negative battery cable, holding buttons for different periods of time. Took to dealer drive thru they held power button, Nothing. Made appt. charged $160.00 to trouble shoot. Recommendation new audio unit. Cost $1,993.29,.Attempted to buy Best Buy no parts available to install. Radio came back on day after told to replace has stayed on 12 minutes. So to me it looks as if a $1900+ new unit may not be what is needed?

3 hours into a trip across multiple states the infotainment panel went dark, and I couldn't turn it off or on but could still faintly hear the radio in the background but couldn't turn the volume up or down.

Stayed this way until we finally stopped and turned the car off then back on again.

While driving, this problem is distracting and dangerous. Called dealer and was told I would receive call back from service manager. Still waiting, never received any call back.

CR-V EX 1.5L V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 115 miles

Had vehicle just barely over a 100 miles when Infotainment "brightness" glitch occurred, so I took back to dealer and all they did was refresh/ reboot the computer program for the "unit". Then the following day, just when I started vehicle to leave work for home, it occurred again. Not only the Brightness glitch, it also switched on/off, then changing to other data... VERY DISTRACTING EVEN THOUGH I TURNED AUDIO OFF!!!

I immediately returned to The Dealership. They said they have to check with Honda to see what to do... A week later, they said to bring it in, we will swap out a screen from a known good one out of another vehicle to see if that is the problem before replacing with a Brand new part from HONDA... It sounds to me like a BULL Crap maneuver - since they knew of the problem since 2017 and still put faulty parts in newer vehicles.

SHOULDN'T THAT BE DISCLOSED LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES WHEN SELLING THEIR OWN VEHICLES?!!

infotainment system malfunction

This is the second time we noticed that the driver and passengers temperature readings were not displayed in the upper corners of the infotainment display. Had to turn car off then on again to get it to properly display the interior temps.

Dealer says they can not duplicate and no one else has complained about it. Other infotainment issues but not this one.

CR-V LX 4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,241 miles

Vehicle Display System began 'glitching' on its own, beeping and turning itself on and off at a 2Hz rate. This is a safety hazard, as all other systems with warnings are rendered inoperative and the beeping is maximum volume so it is dangerously distracting on the road.

Related: doors, rear and glove box beep rapidly whenever closed. Neither problem could be fixed by dealer.

The Dealer, Freeway Honda, 1505 Auto Mall Drive, Santa Ana, CA (714) 547-3555; in this case, they again performed a Software Update and also performed a full Factory Reset.

When it occurs, the only 'cure' is to pull off the road, turn the vehicle off, exit, lock and secure vehicle and then restart.

CR-V EX-L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

The back up camera does not work all the time and sometimes the radio system blacks out. I have several videos of it and Honda did a hard restart of the computer and it works okay for a few weeks, then it back to it's old self. You never know when the camera is going to work. The Honda dealer said Honda is working on a fix.

My car is a 2019 Honda CR_V EX-L.

CR-V EX-L 2.0L Turbo

  • CVT transmission
  • 150 miles

I was driving down the road and my infotainment system blacked out. I couldn't turn it back on. This renders hands-free calling, HVAC unit, and radio inoperable, as well as the back-up camera and some safety features.

When I pulled into my driveway, I tried to turn off and restart my car several times. It didn't resolve the issue. This happened twice before a month ago, but when I restarted the car, it fixed itself.

Upon research, this appears to be a known issue with the CR-V display. It would have been nice if the dealer that sold it to me would have let me know of this issue. I would have bought a different car! I have a service appointment on Monday.

CR-V EX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,500 miles

Since I have owned the car. I have had problems at least once per week (i.e touch screen and it goes black; volume stops when navigating; volume control quits working, screen gets real dim, etc) To resolve the problem. I have to stop the car and restart it or do a reset to original values. Dealer claims that problem is with software and that Honda is attempting to come up with the corrections. It has been 4 months with no replacement or software updates. Now the Lane assit quit working and I am bringing it in AGAIN to the dealer
