on 8/21/2024 my vehicle was parked in my driveway and my husband noticed that the brake lights were on. The vehicle was parked and the emergency brake was not on, and the vehicle was off. We turned the vehicle on and the brake lights went off. On 8/22/2024 I was driving on the service road at 45-50 mph when I noticed the traffic light ahead changing to amber I began to slow down, however; when I pressed the brake pedal there was a loud griding sound. The car would not stop and the dashboard said "BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE". I was inches from rearing ending another vehicle! I pulled into a parking lot and the following warnings were displayed, LANE KEEPING ASSIST FAILURE, BRAKE HOLD SYSTEM FAILURE, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL FAILURE, POWER STEERING SYSTEM FAILURE, HILL START ASSIST FAILURE, ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION FAILURE, VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST FAILURE, COLLISION MITIGATION FAILURE.

I was driving slowly yesterday in a parking lot area and the electrical system on my 2019 CRV Touring sent messages that the brakes, power steering, and engine were shutting down. I lost some power steering capabilities and the brakes were not working normally, but were partially working. I called the dealer who was nearby and they said if I could drive it, to try to get to the dealership. I was less than a mile away, so I was able to drive it very slowly without complete power steering. I was told that all of the electrical signals and shut-downs were due to a fuel injector defect and that I would need all fuel injectors replaced. I have had my Honda regularly serviced without missing any needed service appointments. Prior to the electrical system shut-down yesterday, my Honda was on a recall list for a new fuel pump, which was incorrectly installed, had to be reinstalled a second time, only to find out from Honda that they had made an error and should not have sent me a letter that my Honda was under a recall for a defective fuel pump. The electrical issues began to surface soon after the second fuel pump install (the reinstall due to incorrect install the first time). It also needs to be noted that my car cabin smelled of gas for several days after the fuel pump installs, and if I fill up my gas tank to full, the cabin of my car has a gas smell. My battery immediately died shortly after the second fuel pump install and it was only approximately 2 years old. The screen where my indicators are will frequently shut down for no reason from time to time, but then will come back on. Yesterday was the first time that all systems sent warnings that everything was going to shut down, and the steering and brake systems were compromised. My family and I have concerns regarding the safety of this vehicle at this time.

I was driving the Honda CRV down a main road. There was no traffic in front of me. I was traveling at a rate of 45 or so miles an hour. Without warning, the emergency breaking system activated briefly. There was nothing in front of the vehicle that should-??ve caused the system to deploy. This is the only time I have experienced this issue. Fortunately, there were no cars behind me traveling at a close distance. The brake deployed only briefly but it caused the tires to screech. I was able to maintain control of the vehicle.

I was driving on the highway at a speed of about 60 mph. I tried to push the break pedal because a car stopped in front of me. The distance between the other car and my car was initially about 200 ft. After I pushed the breaks, the breaks did not respond at all and the car kept going at the same speed. That caused an accident. These details are documented in a police report. I am reporting in case the same issue reported in this article caused my accident: [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While driving on the highway (left lane), my car braked itself (while going ~70 mph). The brakes then wouldn-??t release for about half a minute. I was very lucky that no one rear ended me, and it was very scary. The sensor has sometimes warned me to brake, even when there isn-??t anything in front of me. However, this is the first time the car stopped itself.

Vehicles harness leading to auto dimming rear view mirror was defective and a wire split rendering all my braking capability. The ABS system felt like it was reversing the brakes EVERYTIME I stepped on the pedal. I hit my garage door because of this: Honda wanted me to pay to fix the wire because "I had a handicap plate that probably broke the wire" yet I never put my handicap placard on my mirror but rather on my dashboard. My brakes are electronically controlled due to it having an electric brake booster and AEB, radar cruise control and more. I could have been killed. HONDA DIDNT CARE, made me take the car with no brakes.

The vehicle's automatic braking engaged while I was crossing railroad tracks at a crossing. I had stopped prior to the tracks and was accelerating to go over the tracks when three beeps sounded from the dash display and the brakes activated. It stopped my car on the tracks momentarily and I had to accelerate hard to get it to disengage the brakes. There were no vehicles or other objects directly in front of me at the time. There was a train approaching, but it was far enough away to not be a problem. However, it was scary to be stuck on the tracks. I travel this same route 5-days per week for the past three years and this never happened before. It is also the first-time the auto braking system activated when there was no vehicle or object in front of me. The auto braking beeps and brake flashing warning display did activate at the time. I have an appointment to have the car inspected at the local dealership.

This has happened several times, when cruise control is activated like 1/50 times the car will go into limp mode randomly with the brakes activating at speed. This makes it very difficult to steer and has led to me almost getting hit. I have stopped using cruise control and the problem has not happened since

We have a 2019 Honda CRV. The car won't start. When we try to start the car, the following things hapen: 1. "Electric Parking Brake Problem" warning signal flashes on the dashboard 2. "Brake System Problem" warning signal flashes on the dashboard 3. "Tire Pressure Low" warning signal flashes on the dashboard 4. "To Start Engine..." light flahes on the dashboard 5. "BRAKE" light remains on 6. More warning lights on the left side of the dashboard remain on 7. Car makes clicking noises. No one has been hurt. The car was at rest in the garage when the problem was discovered. The car is waiting to be towed to the dealer for evaluation and repair. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. Two days prior to the incident, the brakes briefly pulsated for no particular reason while the car was moving. No harm or damage was caused.

All my car systems started to flash warning failure lights including brakes, steering, transmission and all the safety features. My car would start but I couldn't move it out of park and all the warning lights for every system on the car blinked failure. The wire harness that connects to the rearview mirror caused my entire car to shut down and become inoperable. I had to have it towed and it cost me $1552.53 in repairs. I did some research and other people are having the same issue. Critical systems like brakes shouldn-??t be connected to things like mirrors. This is a critical safety concern. This issue should have a recall. The 2019 models having a bit of wire that hangs down is clearly a design / engineering flaw. I shouldn-??t have to pay to repair this. I would like to know what Honda-??s plan is to fix this issue. I have found reports of others having the same issue. My hanging my handicap plate card on the rear view mirror shouldn-??t short out the entire car. Legally that is where we are suppose to hang it. People with disabilities have lower incomes and shouldn-??t be penalized for Honda design errors. I would like my money refunded. I think Honda should warn customers of this flaw. I also think Honda needs to fix this on all existing and future models. I was lucky this didn't happen while I was driving on the highway to my destination.

2019 Honda CRV, 37,000 miles. Vehicle applied the Automatic Emergency Braking system while it was IN MOTION at about 30-35 mph. No one was behind me; thankfully, but this could have been a SERIOUS ISSUE if someone was. I drive two small children in this vehicle on a daily basis. I was stunned and scared when the brakes engaged with no warning at such a speed with no obstructions in sight. This was a down hill straight road and no cars parked on either side of the road. Upon googling the issue, I came across the information that this was not a random fluke, but a known safety issues with my year, make and model. I have reported this incident to the dealership (Brandfon Honda, Branford, Connecticut) to Honda Motor Corporation headquarters and here to the NHTSA. I am hoping for a swift review and resolution of this issue. Honda CR-V's and Accords are a very common vehicles so this issue affects a great number of people all over the world.

I was driving on a city street at around 30 mpr with no cars in front or behind me when my CRV came to sudden jerking stop and then continued forward. It was so abrupt that my head snapped forward and I slid toward the steering wheel. Luckily, no one was behind me otherwise, I would have been rear ended. This has created a great fear in driving my CRV. I still intend to contact the dealership and report directly to Honda.
