Car is currently in the shop, it now has a wobble feeling and seems dangerous to drive, was advised by the dealership there was no issue, then re evaluated and said code C1851-E1 Popped up and that it may not be covered under my warranty unless I have had a rear differential fluid change every 15,000 miles which is not even Hondas recommended maintenance plan. Was also told it was rare but the nhtsa was doing an investigation on this error in as of 2022 with 1.7 mil Hondas

Car was in the shop for 3 weeks trying to turn off the AWD warning light, replaced the entire wiring harness, a pump and then had to get higher-ups involved. Wondering about the longevity of this and other models based on this mysterious problem.

Very concerning to be driving and have a huge warning pop up on the screen: ALL WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM PROBLEM.
Warning light would disappear after turning off the vehicle and waiting 60 seconds or so, but would illuminate again if I braked just a bit too hard (not panic stop).
Took it to my local independent mechanic where they scanned and confirmed the DTC: C-1851-1E.
Understand there's a SB out for this issue. Will contact selling dealer to determine if issue is covered under my extended warranty.
