I contacted my local Honda Dealer, Serra, Honda Grand Blanc, Michigan to inquire about obtaining a time to service the recall. I was told at that time that they did not have the parts available and to call back in the fall to schedule. I spoke to the same dealership on September 27, 2024 and was told that they did not have the parts and had no idea when they would arrive. They continued to state Honda offers vague communication on when the parts will be available. This is unacceptable and is a definite safety issue.

The contact stated that the air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that the front end of her hood, and grill were crushed by the impact up to the front right and left tire wheel wells. The contact struck her head on the steering wheel but had no physical injuries. The contact was not sure of the disposition of the other vehicle. The police arrived on the scene and issued the contact a traffic violation for failing to yield at the intersection. The contact was attended by an EMS team and was offered to be taken to the ER. The contact declined and was advised by EMS team that if she suffered nausea or headaches later to go to an ER immediately. The contact stated that later that day she was driven to the ER by her husband. The ER physician determined that she had suffered a concussion. The contact's vehicle was towed to an impound lot and later declared a total loss by her insurance provider. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
