I love the Apple Carplay/Android play function... when it works. I use the Maps a lot and it's very inconvenient to be driving and depending on your maps to tell you where to go and suddenly have it stop working. My Apple car play constantly shows a message saying that my phone is not connected to the USB, even though it is. This happens while driving using the maps or sometimes it just doesn't want to work at all on any given day. I've purchased new apple cables, used generic and still no difference. I took it to the Honda Dealer where I purchased the car (Holler Honda) and was told that there was nothing wrong with it because of course on the day I took it there, it decided to work for the technician.
The issue has continued, I've googled the issue and have done everything suggested; making sure my phone has the latest updates, deleting my phone connection from the Honda and reconnecting again. The issue persists and no one seems to listen. I need this functionality for work purposes and it's highly dangerous to be driving on the highway and suddenly my maps blank and I have to fiddle with my phone while driving. Never mind that this is a function that was included in the price of the vehicle. And did I mention that I have an Android work phone for work? Brand new phone and of course yesterday I couldn't get either my iPhone or the Android phone to work in my car using the Apple CarPlay or Android Play. If I could have this problem fixed, it would be great, but instead I'm made to feel like I'm crazy when I bring it in for this problem.
