I have contacted my local Honda dealer-?? they state to date they have not had any customer reports of this problem -?? However-?? -??. contacting an independent Honda repair shop reveals they in fact have had customers report this issue. When this happens-?? there is no warning-?? no illumination of DTC lamps on the dash-?? intermittent-?? but very concerning

EPS gearbox. When entering into a turn the steering wheel gets stuck and requires additional force to pull wheel out of the turn for both left turns and right turns. The risk of overcorrecting or being unable to return the wheel to a forward direction is a major risk to the driver and to others. The vehicle is uncomfortable to drive due to the unpredictability of the sticking steering. The more severe the turn the more sticky the steering. The issue seems to be progressing over time since it was first noticed (May 2024; vehicle purchased Aug 2021). The vehicle was taken to the Honda service center for diagnosis; however, there were no warning lamps or messages triggered by the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected by the service technician with the recommendation to replace the EPS gearbox assembly. The observations by the technician were "The EPS steering assist is not performing correctly on left turns. Checked suspension for binding. No damage found. Gearbox assembly will need to be replaced". The vehicle is a 2021 Honda CR-V with 42,000 miles (Honda warranty 3 YR/36,000 miles). The Honda service center initially placed responsibility on customer to repair at a cost of approx $4,000. This case has still not been settled and no authorization for repair has been agreed upon.

This has happened twice at highway speeds only. Check engine light comes on and car dies. After pulling to side, car is turned off and then runs again when turned back on. This is a huge safety hazard at highway speed in traffic, with the instant deceleration and the possibility of being rear ended. The car was inspected by Honda and Motorwerks Barrington without them being able to identify any issue. As stated, this has happened twice and there appear to be similar issues posted throughout the internet of the exact same issue on these cars.

2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE I have a lemon with Honda CR-V year of car 2021 bought it in October of 2021. The 3-year warranty is about to expire. I have taken the car several times to two different Honda dealerships because they are the closest to my home and I don't have anyone to pick me up or take me back. They claim there's nothing wrong with the vehicle but lights in the dash come up every other day then disappear after several hours then return the next time, I use the vehicle. the vehicle also has an issue with the acceleration; sometimes I step on the gas pedal but after trying to drive the car, the MOTOR does NOT move faster but rather the force of the vehicle decreases and doesn't allow for me to go faster than 20 MPH. The odometer is also inaccurate; one month after driving the vehicle about 80 miles-the vehicle odometer increased around 10 miles. I only have about 9,877 miles that I-??ve driven the car-?? I'M [XXX] and cannot drive and take pictures while I'm driving. I barely know how to use my phone. I get nervous, start to panic and my heart starts racing and I feel like I'm going to crash. My 2021 sunroof shattered out of no where when i was driving, nothing fell on it and no cars nearby so it was not rocks. I think this should be looked into because there are many owners who have reported the same issue. I contact my local dealer and they were in denial but it is very dangerous since the glass from the sunroof was falling on me while i was driving it could have caused a major accident and should definitely be looked into. Sometimes when I turn on my car the dashboard flickers where you are not able to read the screen another safety concern if i cant see certain information. My car only has 8000 miles on it any my battery is still good so I am not sure why there is all these issues.

lane assistance problems too carmax went and authorized a once before recalled Pilkington windshield on my brand new honda purchased last year. Since the windshield has been replaced twice going on a third time in the next month. It has had calibration issues and durability issues from everyday small rock taps off the highway or street when driving. the honda fuel consumption is too fast when the AC is initiated the oil consumption is too fast between oil changes it has had roughly 4 oil changes when the mfg says the car should go 7k- 10k between oil changes

First occurrence happened in October 2022 when I was on the freeway at speeds over 65mph. The vehicle suddenly lost speed, all dash lights came on, a loud helicopter like sound started and would not go more than 40mph. I was lucky enough to exit the freeway without causing a collision. Dealer could not duplicate the incident and no computer codes. Second time was almost identical to the first time and occurred approximately 6 months later. Dealer had vehicle for 3 days and could not duplicate problem. Very very unsafe!

My cars automatic braking system engages when nothing is around. This has happened multiple times. One of these time I recall traveling with my child at a sped of 50-+mph. It was fearful for the both of us. This alone is dangerous, it could become deadly given different weather conditions causing loss of control of the car. I believe this issue will eventually cause someone injury and/or death. During this time my child was recovering from traumatic brain trauma. The dealership is waiting on a part the they feel should repair the issue. The emergency brake light flashed, beeped and slammed on breaks. I believe this is more than a sensor issue I believe it-??s an electrical issue. The lights sometimes brighten instead of deeming in on coming traffic, there have been times that the usb port don-??t work an then times that they do with the same charger, the windows an sunroof open on it-??s on, the volume will max out an not turn down or off, the pixels on the screen become broken up(I have pictures) also when the car is idling the rear exhaust smalls like fumes from spray paint or something similar. I bought the car in May 2021 w/5miles - March 2023 w/about 7,500miles, I-??ve had to call roadside assistance 3/4 times. I am a single mom with a young son who suffers from 4 rare diseases. I am unable to run out an get a new car. If these issues fix I-??ll be on my own in the next 13 months with unnecessary expenses.
