How sad where Honda has fallen in terms of producing a quality car at an affordable price. I purchased my 2010 Civic new from the dealer who bragged about how wonderful the car was and how far advanced it was technologically from its competitors. What a joke. If you are thinking of buying a Civic, I would stay away until Honda gets their act together.

After less than 23,000 miles my brakes were shot. The service manager told me I got more life out the brake pads than most owners. I nearly fell to the floor laughing as this is not typical to run through a set of pads so fast. Do a web search and you will find many other unhappy owners. Personally, I cannot see forking over $500 just to replace pads every two - three years. My 2000 4-Runner has 160,000 miles and I have only changed the pads three times. And folks, the 4-Runner is a bigger, heavier vehicle that would abuse pads faster than the lightweight Honda.

Crappy QA, crappy customer service in dealing with a known issue. All I can say is that I will NOT be buying another Honda in the foreseeable future.
