The engine light came on and I took it to the shop to determine the cause. They told me that the exhaust manifold had cracked. They also told me that this is a common occurrence for the Honda Civic. The cost of repair will be over $600 provided that this did not damage the oxygen sensor. If that is the case, then the cost will be an additional $100 to $200 more. Given that this is a common occurence, I felt that it may warrant further reporting to your organization.
