Vehicle engaged cruise control at 65 mph and vehicle accelerated to 90 mph on its own, making it difficult to slow down. Brakes were applied, but the speed still continued until the engine was shutdown before pulling over.

While driving in an intersection during rush hour traffic, the vehicle's engine check light came on, the vehicle started to idle near zero causing the vehicle to stall. Vehicle was taken to dealer and I was told it was the catalytic converter. Manufacture was notified and they stated it will take 3-6 months to repair because Honda manufacture has to develop a part in Japan because the part is not available. Will notify the epa office.
