Hi,
I started the car and put in Reverse mode. The car then stated running back. I pushed the breaks paddle but it didnt work. The break paddle was so jam to push.
Somehow I managed to stop the car by pulling the handbrakes. But when I restarted the car, everything worked perfectly.
I have recently changed timing belt with other accessories.
Is this problem serious or it has happened because of some my mistake?

Well in all retrospect the car sat for a year ( garaged for most of it). after coming back up north ( chicagoland) I was getting ready to take it back on the road only to find out the entire brake system had seized . when I drove it I would put my foot down to the floor before the car would attempt to stop, and even then I had a burning smell from the front. I had just replaced the pads since the car sat for a year , all was lost. thankfully I know how to do all this work myself so purchased a new master cylinder new calipers, and rotors ( already had the new pads) for the front and drums & shoes for the rear. The parts alone totaled $300 from ebay, Amazon & autozone, same parts at the dealer would be around $600-700. I had to replace all those for my civic and bleed all the brakes again now ny civic brakes semi properly Im sure I will need to replace all the brake line hoses as well in the future, damn you Honda I have friends with early 90s honda (civic and accords) and have had less problems than I have with A 10 yr newer car, I tell you this.... never again !!!
