I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY CIVIC AND I PISSED OFF SO MUCH. I BOUGHT AN AFTER MARKET CONVERTER AND TODAY I WENT TO GET MY CAR SMOGGED BUT DID NO PASS. RIGHT NOW I DONT COUNT WITH ANY MONEY TO REPLACE THE PART. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL CRACKED PART AND I WANT TO ASK IF I GET THE CRACK WELDED, WOULD IT BE ABLE TO PASS THE TEST? THANK YOU FOR YOU HELP EVERYONE.

Civic LX 1.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 123,867 miles

I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND IT WAS RAINING. THE CAR ALL OF A SUDDEN SLOWLY DIDN'T WANT TO ACCELERATE AND THEN IT STOPPED. I SLOWLY PULLED UP INTO A STORE AND TURNED IT OFF. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON IT WORKED, BUT THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. ON MY WAY HOME IT SEEMED AS IF IT WANTED TO STALL AGAIN BUT GOT ME HOME, AND THATS WHEN I CHECKED FOR THE CODE THAT READ P1361. SO I PURCHASED A USED MANIFOLD AND IT WAS WORKING PROPERLY SINCE TODAY WHEN I HAD PROBLEMS AND THIS TIME I THINK ITS THE TRANSMISSION.
