Problems with the electrical part of the ignition, causing my car to cut off, or it leaves me and my kids stranded!!! even the SRS light is on, and when I looked up the recall information, theres recalls on both and the dealership is declining to service my vehicle. This is a major saftey issue, I cant afford to put my kids life in jeopardy, nor can I afford another car right now. Please help me !!!

I'm not even sure if this is the right channel but here goes... I've called to get my recall fixed and nobody ever wants to call me back to schedule an appointment even. I tried the number where you text the recall coordinators" but they replied the next day and only waited 10 mins. Pohanka Honda of salisbury doesn't seem to want to schedule this recall. I tried with them a few years ago but again no response. What do I have to do to get the common courtesy of a callback or something as simple as making an appointment? this is why I quit attempting to get this recall fixed some years ago, because it was never a priority apparently. Now that I'm attempting to sell the vehicle I have to continue to be ignored by the service department at pohanka, so that I can move on. I'm very displeased with being placated about "parts availability" or "just wait for a call back" when waiting for a courteous reply is all I need. Bottom line: I can't get my airbag recall done at pohanka Honda of salisbury if they won't ever reach back out to me. I attempted a followup question toaday and was given a runaround phone number. Why would I give you all of my VIN and recall numbers and then hear nothing again" I'm extraordinarily upset about being relegated to the back of the list every time. I strongly feel that nobody I've spoken to gives a [xxx] about getting this done because I'm the only one trying to make it happen. Hoping this actually merits a response because I'm about to wash my hands of this whole recall due to the abysmal handling of such a simple task. Then it can be a safety issue for the new owner because these dealers don't really want to do any "free" work it seems. Disappointed, upset and would rather drive a deathtrap than deal with any of these useless representatives. Not involved in any accident. Bought the vehicle used and title was salvaged. Passenger side airbags were deployed prior to purchase. I took the car into hobda to see about this recall and wanted them to reolace the airbags. They did jot due to the fact that they were deployed already.

Takata recall. The contact's son owned a 2001 Honda Civic coupe. The contact's son was the passenger of the vehicle. The contact stated that while her son's friend was driving 80 mph, the driver lost control and crashed into a guardrail. The contact's son was ejected from the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The driver sustained a fractured collarbone. Medical attention was received and the contact's son was airlifted to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased four hours later. The vehicle was towed by the police to a lot where it was sold to an auction. A police report was filed. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign numbers: 18V268000 (air bags), 15V370000 (air bags), and 19V501000 (air bags). The failure mileage was approximately 233,000.

The contact owned a 2001 Honda Civic. While driving approximately 15 mph and attempting to accelerate through an intersection, another vehicle sped in front of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact T-boned the other vehicle. The contact's vehicle bounced and turned sideways. The air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. The contact received neck, rib, head, and knee injuries. Medical attention was received. A police report was filed. The contact's vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 19V501000 (air bags) and 19V182000 (air bags); however, the vehicle had not received the recall repairs prior to the crash. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 215,000.

My son was critically injured in an accident in 2014 with this vehicle. He was on a country road and missed a sharp curve entering a field. The airbag did not deploy, the seatbelt did not hold and the seat back collapsed. He was ejected from the vehicle. This vehicle was totaled as a result of this accident and I have notified Honda multiple times. I still receive recall notifications.

In the past I received a notice in the mail detailing an airbag inflator safety recall containing my car's VIN number. When I called the local Honda dealer to get it replaced, they stated that my car was not actually affected in the recall and a replacement would not be needed. I received another notice in the mail and when I called the dealer this time they confirmed that in fact my car needs replacements. My complaint is that I have been driving my car thinking it was safe, based on the Honda dealership's word, when in fact it has not been safe to drive.

The contact owned a 2001 Honda Civic. The contact stated that the SRS indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to Honda of el cajon (889 amele el cajon, ca 92020, 888-972-8443) several times and they stated that the failure had nothing to do with the air bags or seat belts; therefore, the contact would be charged for the repairs. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 19V182000 (air bags). The contact no longer owns the car the vehicle, but recently received another recall notice. The failure mileage was unknown.

Takata recall, the SRS light signal is on the whole time whenever the car is moving, it wont go away. And the car breaks isnt breaking fast when brake pads are being press down all the way instead it breaks slow to stop. Also hood needs to be slam hard in order to close.

I took my car in for recall repairs on airbags May 2017 I was in a car accident July 6, 2017 driver side airbag didn't deploy causing me to suffer injuries to my chest via the steering wheel the passenger airbag deployed partially however upward and threw out sparks burning my 17 year old daughters nose I was driving at about 40-45 mph on a main street when a car turned left in front of me I hit the side of his car I wont upload images of my injuries as it is my breast, chest, and stomach area

Takata recall. My 2001 Honda Civic has been sitting my my drive for about a month and is not being used as my primary vehicle. Yesterday the car seemed fine; windows clear, no smell, etc. However, when returning today the car had the smell of burnt plastic which was overpowering and went to see why it smelled and then noticed that the windows were covered in soot. The driver side door was opened and the smell was 100% stronger and you could see that the plastic on the passenger side dash was burnt and melting right around where the airbag; I will send pictures. It looked like the dash had melted from the inside out and besides the car covered in soot the damage is located specifically on the passenger side around the airbag and glove compartment. In working to complete this report I noticed how it asks how many miles are on the car, but the only way to see the number of miles is by turning the car on. I am hesitiant to turn the car on since I don't know what happened and don't think it is safe. However, I know the car has over 200,000 miles but I am not sure as the exact number of miles.

Takata recall - I had recall notice. - 7/13 - hennessy Honda - woodstock, ga ( invoice # hocs623783) passenger airbag inflator was installed). At that time my mileage was 117,706. In Sept. 2017 I took car to Honda carland - alpharetta, ga (where I purchased the car in Aug., 2001) as the SRS light would not turn off. Mechanic was able to turn it off. In Dec. 2017 both SRS light and side airbag lights would not go off. I was told that the opds unit and sensor were bad internally, causing code 15-3 - need to be replaced, and quoted me over $1000 to do so. I believe this is related to the recall that was received and supposedly fixed in 2013.. I feel that Honda should replace the passenger side airbag assembly. Both lights still remain on, and I am hesitant to let anyone sit in the passenger side seat.
