My car was towed to Honda Dealership at Mechanicsville, VA. I spoke to Andrew who said he did not understand me. I repeated many times and then he said I am screaming. I asked to speak to the service manager. Scott, service manager, came on line and without listening to me he started yelling at me saying you are yelling and said get that car to his shop and will check at lunch.
I got towed on Aug 7th. I called and my car was not checked. Andrew told me he will check at end of the day. I called again at 5 pm. He said he will check next day. I called next day, he said he will call me before lunch. I called him back at 12:30 pm, he said he will call me at end of the day. I called again at 5 pm, no one picked up phone, voice mail was on. I called main #, they transfer, Andrew came on line and quoted me $1400 plus tax, saying there is AC compressor issue and it is locked up and need belt and so on. It was very high price.
I requested to speak to the manager Scott. Andrew said he is in the meeting. He put me on hold and phone was disconnected. I called back to main # and spoke to Andrew again, same answer. Scott came on line, saying he can hear me, as I was screaming.and he said Andrew is right. It will cost $1400 to fix. I told him that I got $140 rate for compressor. He said to bring all parts he needed and he will charge me $840 labor.
I also asked Andrew reason behind taking 4 days to check my car. He said cause I was screaming and second reason he said No one has same issue I had so he checked other people car before mine. He discriminated me plus very rude and gave me high rate being a woman.
I called other mechanics next few days and I got $550 to $800 to fix issue. I called AAA to sign for towing but could not next 7 days. I called my insurance non stop to get towed. I wasted 10 days behind this car. I lost my business, couldn't go grocery shopping, depressed as no help and got stuck in home. I told Andrew that I am sending someone to pick up my car. He said it will cost $99 to check car. I requested to speak to Scott, he said same thing. I gave him reason, why I should not pay to inspect car. He said he will not give my car.
I keep on calling Sales manager/GM of Honda and left messages plus emailed him, no response.
Any way towing company from Insurance went to pick up my car on Aug 14 th 2014. I took ride from unknown person living in my community. Towing employee already attached my car to his truck, when I reached there. It sound like they were ok, not to charge me. But when they saw me, big drama to get money from me and towing man supported him as they already manipulated him against me. I told Scott that I will report to BBB. He said he will give my car in one condition that I WILL NEVER COME TO HONDA IN FUTURE OR WILL GET ARRESTED. I released my car. But he did not gave me paperwork.
It sound like there was different issue in my car as per my car MD reading and he quoted me high rate and did not want me to have that paperwork in my hand or he can lose his job.
I also have paint issue which was faded and hood flipped which cracked my window. I defiantly need help to get all losses I had due to this car and customer service manager ill treatment and threatening me and band me not to enter Honda dealer in future.
I fixed my car yesterday on Aug 16th to different Mechanic with better rate. And I hope he fixed that issue, as it is really hard to trust any mechanics. I have to take loan from bank and pay NSF charges to fix this issue.

First, on a long drive (~120mi) my car started making noises and then suddenly the engine turned off. I restarted the engine and drove the last 5mi. Also the AC would only work for the first second after I turned it on and after that would simply blow hot air.
I brought the car in for an oil change and decided to drive it back down (~120mi) and just before I got there the battery died. I replaced the battery and car operated fine (~$100). I brought it into a checker and they said the alternator was dead.
Drove it to a repair place, and after they had replaced the alternator (~$400) I was told the reason that the alternator died was because the AC Compressor was locking up which caused the alternator to fail. Without replacing this the new alternator would simply die just like the old one did. This repair was too costly for me (~$1100), so I asked if there was a way to just bypass the AC Compressor. After a while the repair guy found a belt he thought would fit right and I have driven it around 100mi without any problems.
The biggest problem I have is the fact that I rarely use my AC. But I guess this belt is attached to the AC Compressor all the time, and perhaps even using the AC more would have prevented it from dying so soon. I am just really frustrated.
