The contact owns a 2003 Honda Civic. The contact stated that the keys would come out of the ignition when the vehicle was not shifted in the park position. The failure also occurred when the vehicle was shifted in drive. The dealer was contacted and advised her that her vehicle was not associated with any recalls. The failure was not diagnosed and no repairs were made. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 180000.

The driver noticed that the ignition key, becomes hot while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic can not duplicate the problem. The consumer believes it to be a fire hazard. Complaint went with out being documented.
