As much as Honda sells their car on the promise off safety and economy they really are forgetting about the parking lot accidents and the cost off them. I got taped in the parking lot by a co-worker. By no means it was a hard hit. What really got me that my back bumper cracked and as a result off it the tail light broke. The reason for the tail light braking is the fact that the bumper is snapped into the light assembly which causes the light plastic to brake. The bumper itself is another funny business. The bumper does not absorb enough energy and instead it breaks. When you get under the car you realize that in a high speed accident the unibody is protecting but good luck trying to fix it. The Honda is made to be a throw away car so if you like throwing your money away by all means go head. The other car involved in this collision had no damage on the rear bumper while Honda looked like crap with a 1500 dollar damage. What a pain in the ass to deal with a stupid bumper. I suspect that Honda designs the Civic in this way to get us to buy the Honda parts but I say don't buy a Honda at all. Do you thing they put more care in their other models if they don't care about making their best seller also a best value. So if you are thinking off buying a Honda don't. I am gone by posting more things which are wrong with a Honda Civic.
