hotest day of the year, it went out, going to doctors visit 60 miles away.

Nothing visible to report but really bad not to have an A/C when outside temps are >95F.

Can't believe just after buying this used Civic in March of 2010, low miles but the a/c didn't even work when the hot days of summer came. It would cost over $700 to fix and I can't afford that.

No cool air, too hot to trot. Still a costly issue.

Our honda sucks ass.. The ac compressor shat its self and we cannot afford to get it fixed we live in a hot ass town with two kids and we need it to work.. We will never ever buy another honda again!! This isn't the only problem we have had but this is the worst..

Yet another issue with Honda Civic parts breaking down prematurely.
The car was less than 6 years old when it stopped working. Aren't they supposed to be built to last??
Ya right. And not to mention that in Canada we only use our air conditioning for maybe 4 months out of the year...
so its not like the system was used. Sounds like another recall issue that didn't get broadcasted to all of us suckers who bought a Honda Civic because we thought it was affordable, dependable and reliable!!

Not at all happy with the fact that my 2006 Civic EX has had the A/C fail on it!!! It's not like it has been overused, or abused!!! My husband has a 2003 Civic, and he ALWAYS has his A/C on, with no issues at all. I'm very unhappy with this, and am actually considering NOT buying Honda again!

The AC compressor failed at just under 60k miles. If not for the extended warranty, I would have been out $500.

So we did take the car to see to see how much it would cost us to fix the car - it would be $800.00.
We were also told that there was a recall for the compressor but we never got any information for this.
Now I think we are past the warranty.
