Too bad only one complaint at a time. CD player has not worked for a very long time. It is annoying when traveling and cannot get a station.

CD player quit working and I had to pull the CD that was stuck in it, using tweezers damaging the CD. Never had it fixed. Now the entire stereo is malfunctioning 3yrs later.

My CD player quit working, so I had to replace the whole unit which to me really ruined the looks of my dash. I paid for the new system and the installing. I really like the original one and was really upset it stopped working.

I have read on several websites that the 2006 Honda civic cd players had issues. I was wondering if there was any recall on them.
None of my cds work, therefore I know it is not the problem of the cd.
Does anyone have any issues or suggestions or feedback on this issue. Is there a way to fix it. Is it costly. Is there a quick cheap solution...

My cd player on my 2006 civic stopped working; I never knew about this website I wish I would have reported this on here in 2010 when my cd player failed on me. When my cd player failed I took my vehicle to Honda to see if my warranty will cover the repairs I was informed that I would have to pay around $500 out of pocket to fix my cd player since my warranty expired. I was so heart broken I always wanted a Honda Civic it use to be my dream car but now that I own one I just wish I could trade it off for something better this vehicle has been a pure nightmare everything is breaking down my car; it's falling apart in front of my eyes and there's nothing I can do about it.

Add me to the list of CD players that won't eject or play a cd. It just makes clicking sounds. I'm gonna have shell out more money to fix another Honda factory problem. I'm going with an aftermarket cd/radio as I don't trust the quality of another factory part.

Again, as with all Honda problems, I was told by the dealership that I would need to replace the complete stereo unit at my cost of about $700.00

My CD player has been broke for 2 years. It's expensive to fix on my own. It was working fine, then it wasn't. I had just removed a CD to change to another one, but the CD player wouldn't even attempt to take my CD. It's almost like it just lost power to it completely.

I bought an 06 Civic brand new. The new design that year was flashy and sporty; my last Civic had 290K on it (never a day of trouble) and it was indeed time for an upgrade. I came here to this site to post all the problems I have had with this car because Honda sold it to me and washed their hands of it.
CD player died after only 2 years. :( It has an aux jack for my mp3 player so I never had it replaced. Whoever heard of a CD player lasting only 2 years? This is just one of the things in a long line of Honda's design flaws and bad quality parts that have cost me a fortune to repair, replace, and diagnose in this car. Anyone else notice that after about 4 hours, with some level of heat on, the CD player gives you a "DISK ERROR" message? Then , when removing the CD, it is very HOT to the touch. Really hot. I usually play MP3 CD's, I don't think this makes any difference. Definitely too hot for the electronics.

My battery died in my car. After I replaced it, my stereo/CD player would not work. The stereo says "enter code" I don't have a code. Apparently neither does the dealer. They told me I would have to send the stereo to California and they would then replace it.... for about $1000. What? Because they set up the stereo to need a code that no one knows? Crazy. So now I have a car with not stereo, no CD player and no clock. All because of a stupid code.
