The sun visor on the driver's side of my 2008 Honda Civic ex-L broke while under warranty and the dealer replaced it. Now, out of warranty, the visor on the passenger side has broken. I have not pursued any action from Honda, yet. I have been reading on-linethat this is a frequent complaint and I wanted file my own complaint to add to the others.

Over time, the plastic portion of my driver's side sun visor rotted and broke so that the visor is constantly down. Because of this, my field of vision is always restricted. If I tape the visor up, frequently I'm blinded by the sun or other bright lights. I have contacted Honda regarding this defect, but as yet, they won't fix the problem.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic. After about 30K miles, the driver side sun visor is damaged. The visor is cracked and the metal stick is exposed. The visor doesn't stay up and has to remain down or else it will hit my head when I drive. I am the only driver and the visor doesn't get man handled. I read on several sites that this is a problem with year make and model. Honda will not fix the problem because the warranty expired. This is a safety issue and usually visors don't get damaged that easy. I am hoping that Honda will fix it without charging $56 for the part and $200 for the labor. Help.

I purchased a new Honda Civic sedan in 2008. At around 40,000 miles, the driver's side visor has split apart and will not stay up. It flops down making it difficult for me to see the roads. I have not taken the visor to get repaired, but my research shows that this has happened to several other owners of the same type of vehicle.

2008 Honda Civic. Consumer states problem with the engine and brakes the consumer stated the air conditioner was not working properly for 20 -30 minutes at a time while driving. The ac knob was turned on, but the blower was not working. When the consumer returned to the dealer, she was informed dye had been placed in the ac system and to return in 3 weeks to see if there were any leaks. The consumer returned 3 weeks later and no leaks were found. The dealer advised the consumer that nothing could be done unless ac/heater blower was not working at the time. In December 2009, while it was raining, the windshield became fogged, because the blower was not working. The consumer was able to get to the dealer in time for them to witness, that the ac/ heater blower was not working, but as the technician went to drive the vehicle into the service bay, it began working again. On one occasion when the consumer arrived at the dealer, the blower was not working, but when the door was closed, it began working again. The consumer believed there is a wiring problem. The consumer also stated the engine would surge when the brake was applied.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic. 1 year into owning it, the driver's side visor split on the seam so that it wouldn't go up or down, it hangs down in one position. I got it fixed still under warranty but now just 2 years later, it has split again. I barely use it. It is up while I'm driving (when' it's down, I'm so tall it's in my line of vision) and when I park, I put it down so that I can put my sun visor up. That's it. I called Honda and even though this would be the 2nd visor in 3 years, they will still charge $75 for another one.

The sun visor on my 2008 Honda Civic LX just broke; I am the original owner and have about 33K miles. I read that this is a common problem with the Civic. It is a hazard as it blocks vision at night time. The cheap plastic material and poor design is shameful for Honda.

My 2008 Honda Civic LX sunvisor split at the "seam." This makes it so that it will not flip back up in the upright position so it just hangs down in my view. I almost ran a red light today because of it! this is a huge safety issue not only for myself but for the other innocent drivers I might harm!!! Honda said that it was not a recall issue because there was no safety issue here. They wont replace it because I am past my 36K warranty. I looked online and many other people have had the same problem...multiple times! make Honda fix this before anyone loses their life over it! shame on Honda for not acknowledging this as a safety issue!

Sunvisor splits due to hot weather. Sunvisor will no longer stay up or down properly and causes improper visibility. Visibility is a **safety hazard**. problem is common and has been documented for the last few model years. Honda will not replace.
