While driving my son on the highway on route to a puppet show, the steering wheel suddenly started to shimmy. I lost control of the vehicle. I was in the middle lane, crossed to the right lane and spun into a railing on the side of the road. It was very scary. It was a total loss. A couple weeks prior to the accident, I had heard some noises, but they had gone away, so I thought maybe there was no problem.
Update from Oct 12, 2012: I also wanted to mention that the airbag did not deploy and I was going between 55 and 60 mph.
