I purchased this 2012 civic brand new in 2012. In 2013 we noticed a little wear and tear on the floor board near the accelerator and center console. Now in 2014 the same area had almost become a hole. We realized that the flooring was made of some type of fabric resembling a mix of felt and fibers. Its black and the floor mats are black so its not so noticeable. If I had noticed when shopping for a civic, I would have never purchased this vehicle. I have purchased many cars, and carpet has always been the industry's standard.

I purchased my 2012 Honda Civic on May 14, 2011 and have had nothing, but disappointment... Not even a Year past when i discovered my driver's seat was ripping. I did not even try to see if i could get fixed. All i know is that i really don't have anything nice to say about Honda right now...

I was really surprised an auto maker like Honda would use some bad/cheap quality material for one of the top sells vehicle worldwide. I started to see scratches on the interior of the driver's side door after about 2 weeks of purchase of my 2012 Honda Civic. I better clarify one thing is that I am a guy with no interest in having long fingernails because I am working in the food industry, so it is not wise even to have average length fingernails. Up to today, after about over a year since I bought this vehicle, scratches can be seen almost everywhere of the interior. Anyone who had ride with it couldn't believe it is an year 2012, thought I had this vehicle for at least over 5 years, that's how bad my "almost like new vehicle" looks like.

Constant rattling and vibration noises, not ONE SINGLE soft-touch area in the cabin. Deterred me from ever considering Honda again (not to mention their customer service.. don't even get me started. Good luck contacting American Honda!).
