New 2012 Civic Model Changed Less Than a Year Later to 2013 Model
"Owners of 2012 Civics will take a big hit on depreciation" due to the 2013 changes, wrote Larry Dominique, President of ALG company that calculates auto depreciation.
"The changes made to the 2013 model will make the 2012 Civic a difficult model to sell when they are side to side," wrote David Hendley, assistant vice president of Honda National Sales.
What does it say to the 200,000-some people who bought the "old" new 2012 Civic, now that the "new" new 2013 Civic is so much better? "Oops," seems insufficient. (Autonews.com)
Basically they planned on coming out with the new 2013 at the same time they introduced the new 2012 and kept that information from buyers purchasing the 2012's. The information of the unprecedented much sooner that normal model change should not have been withheld. I even asked the dealer that I purchased my 2012 Civic "when will the next model come out?" which he replied "in four years, like they always have done". I was tricked and feel very betrayed by Honda Motors.

The car only lasted one model year and was restyled for 2013 which caused the value of my car to drop quickly!
