The contact owns a 2014 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while at a stop, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The failure recurred multiple times. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 15V574000 (power train). The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 23,000.
