ABS BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE AND UNABLE TO STEER VEHICHLE CAUSING ACCIDENT. FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY FOR FRONT PASSENGER. If THE PASSENGER DID NOT MOVE HIS HEAD WHEN HE DID AND DRIVER THEY BOTH LIKELY WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IN THE ACCIDENT. WHEN THIS VEHICHLE WAS PURCHASED AT THE CARMAX DEALERSHIP LESS THAN 60 DAYS AGO, IT WAS ASSURED OF NO ISSUES, HOWEVER IT DID HAVE LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNINGS AND THEY PUT AIR IN TIRES AT THE TIME OF TEST DRIVE, I HAVE READ SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD LOW TIRE WARNING / ABS ISSUES PRIOR TO ABS FAILURES AND WISH THIS TO BE INVESTIGATED. THIS IS SUSPICIOUS.

Complaint to NHTSA ref. 2015 Honda Civic-ex (VIN: [xxx]) please note that our referenced vehicle contains a design flaw and product defect. The car was not starting due to a major electrical problem. The technicians at a Honda certified dealer diagnosed the problem as a product defect associated with the right front door handle touch sensor. According to an advisor at Honda of escondido (California), the door handle sensor failure constituted both a hardware and software malfunction. The advisor indicated that this is a safety issue and that he has not seen this phenomenon occur with respect to a Honda Civic during his many years at Honda of escondido. It appears that the amount of current (amp) draw was the main culprit in depleting the battery?S power capacity and degrading it to a point that the car would not start as a result of the product defect. It also caused the vsa (I.e., the vehicle stability assist) system to malfunction and behave erratically as well. In our assessment, this situation constitutes a public interest consideration as the safety, well-being and welfare of every owner is at risk when driving the same 2015 Honda Civic model. In our judgment, a recall is required to prevent severe accidents from happening and to preclude this highly risky and dangerous safety situation from recurring. Thank you for taking the necessary correction action. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

It was raining, I went to slow down and it was as if the front wheels locked up, tcs blinking on and off, and the tires remained pulling as if power was still being sent to the front two, locked up, tires and I had no control as the car pulled me straight forward into the side of another vehicle resulting in a collision that had me hit a stopped car so hard it spun the other car around and totaled my car. This all happened within 500 feet of where I initially pulled out onto the road I was traveling on when the car started to malfunction to the road where I attempted to turn onto to avoid the crash and could not maneuver the vehicle at all.

The emergency brake on this vehicle does not keep the car from moving, the vehicle continues to move after you apply the emergency brake to stop the car.

The transmission drive pulley shaft is damaged, I was driving on the freeway and the car locked up and braked and the front wheels locked up. This is bad luckily I was on a deserted freeway and no one was behind me. This is dangerous.

Brake problem. Safety concern. Had to panic brake hard and fast to avoid an accident while going straight at street speed of less than 25 mph. New noise immediately after event: 'metallic cluck' sound upon brake pedal return coming from firewall where vacuum booster and master cylinder are located. Also now experiencing intermittent 'high hard brake pedal' (vacuum assist problem?) several times while driving and while parked. Towed to dealer. Brake problems should not result when they are used as intended. Safety concern.

I first purchased a 2015 Honda Civic and started hearing this "grinding/creaky" when I pushed down on my brakes, coming from my rear. Don't get me wrong, I am able to use my brakes as I wanted, but when I pushed down on the brakes to put in gear or just pushed down a little too hard, I would hear this noise. Also I noticed, whenever I had a full tank of gas (took me a while to figure this out), I would hear this "thumping" noise. If I do not have gas in my car, I do not hear the noise. I went back to the dealership a total of 3 times. The mechanics told me these were not normal noises, they tried to diagnose my car, if kept my car the last time for 5 days but was unable to get the sound to really go away. I even tired to take it to another Honda dealership to get my car looked at, but I was told, "to take my car back where I bought it from because its clear there is a problem, and they didn't want their techs name on it". I was shocked. I went back to the original dealer and they even called the american Honda technicians who were of no help. I was fed up and felt unsafe in my car, since I was being told these were not "normal" noises, I asked to trade in my car (same exact year/model). Despite test driving the second car (on an empty gas tank), I didn't hear any noises initially. But now its been a few days and I hear the exact same noises in this car, as I did the first one. I have no idea what to do. I just want a car that does not make any of these noises. I just traded in my car to receive this one I am currently driving on 2/5/16. I have yet to go back to the dealership to let them know of these noises on the 2nd car, because I fear being jerked around again. I reached out to corporate and received a case manager named robin who has yet to get back to me and never returns phone calls. I am desperate to find out these noises.

Purchased car with 136 miles on it. Noticed the brakes made a popping sound when pedal was depressed, also a noise was heard when the car was put into different gears. Took it in several times and was told nothing is wrong. Maybe you are pressing to hard on the brakes.third month in I went back again for the gear shift noise and was told thats just how these Civics sound.
