While putting a sun shade in the front windshield, the bottom of the shade slid on the dash leaving scuff marks. I have tried detailer, but the marks remain. I have always used these shades and never had an issue in any other vehicle. There is nothing wrong with the shade itself. The car is a month old and now I am stuck with a permanent imperfection.

From the day I drove this car home in May, I noticed a white scuffing on the near edge of the dark grey dashboard. I thought at first it was leftover foam or something from the dealer using their "new car smell" spray, and tried to wipe it off. It is not removable, and it wasn't caused by a windshield blind (didn't have one at the time, anyway). The dealer took a look, and recommended me to a detail guy that only comes on a day when I am working. They want him to hide it, saying that if they replace the dashboard I will start to hear squeaks. Detail man said that is nonsense, they just don't want the bother.
I'm waiting until this Spring before the first year is up, and will ask the dealer to replace the dash.
