The past few weeks I-??ve been taking my vehicle for service to the Honda Dealership located in Daphne, Alabama and I-??ve been complaining about suspension problems and my main concern is my tie rod end and the dealership refuses to repair, then yesterday when I brought it in for service they charged me for a diagnostics without my permission and I asked for the report and won-??t hand it over and today [XXX] they did the diagnostic again and won-??t hand over the report then lied and said it-??s my Mass airflow sensor and there no check engine light on. For the past for weeks I-??ve been wondering why the dealership has been mistreating me and it is because of the Honda manufacture, today I called the Honda manufacturer and ask if I-??m listed as the vehicle owner in their systems because my vehicle is a 2016 and I haven-??t had any open recall associated with my vin in the 4 years I-??ve owned it. The Honda dealership gave me a document for a vin check and I-??m not listed as the owner so perhaps the recalls aren-??t being inserting into the proper file. I called the manufacturer and asked to speak to a supervisor and the representative refused to do so and I have a recorded conversation that I would like to forward to you once an investigation is opened. I also asked if my vehicle is apart of the national recall on the fuel pump and the manufacturer agent said no. Reference number: [XXX] I spoke with Elmer today [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I bought my 2016 Honda Civic and never had issues with it besides the AC unit not working which was resolved because of the recalls and was repaired by my local dealership. Now I am having issues when it comes to accelerating. There is an accelerating delay/ stall when completing a stop and there-??s a delay to get the car to move after pressing on the gas pedal or when reversing when getting out of th driveway. The most dangerous event is when I-??m driving and i come to a stop to make a right turn and right after ensuring there is no upcoming traffic to make the right turn my car does not accelerate and it-??s very scary because I can get hit by another car. There-??s times where I-??m driving and the car can turn off. I feel like my life and other drivers life-??s are at risk. Honda has recalls for fuel pumps for other year/models but not for mine. I just want to make sure if this is something that can be recalled. Thank you

2016 Honda Civic fuel door actuator makes a loud buzzing noise when locking. I am told by the Honda dealer that the problem is common on Civics 2016 thru 2019 and on Accord of the same years. This happens when the car starts to move forward and hits 10 mph and when the lock button on the keyfob is pushed.

First, the new "no fuel cap" fuel pump sucks.. it always get stucked when I'm pumping gas at any gas station. Oil will spill out. Btw (this is a known problem) second, ac parts! yes, I know that Honda had a lawsuit for their ac and did a recall on their ac condenser. There are so many other parts that have design errors but Honda refused to acknowldegged their mistakes. For example, ac evaportator" ac compressor" please help all the Honda Civic buyers! this is totally unacceptable!

On 10-31-19, driving my 2016 Honda Civic 1.5 turbo engine taking my kids to school. Car was driving well, until a reach about 1 mile, while making a left turn the car loss power and can only drive up to 15 mph. I have to drive my car back home and get my other car. The Honda never regains normal power. The same date in the evening, I drove the Honda for about 3 miles around my neighborhood and never loss power. The following date, I drove the car and suddenly again loss power while making a right turn a block away from my house. Drove back my Honda back to my house with the car never regaining normal power. The Honda Civic only drives well for less than a quarter mile and then suddenly loss power, especially when making a turn. This is a safety hazard. When the car loss power it only drives up to 15 mph (which takes several seconds to reach 15 mph) and never regain normal power. This loss of power started on 10-31-19, which was a very cool day about 24-degree Fahrenheit. My car is not driver able any longer. Now that this happen, I research problems with 2016 Civic and found out that Honda had an issue with 1.5 turbo engine since 2017. One month and half prior to this happen, I took my car to the Honda dealer services twice and only want to charge me with things that the warranty did not cover and could not tell me what was wrong with my car. Honda dealer should had known the problems my car has are relate to oil dilution in the engine, but decided not to address it. Now, I have a car that is not driver able and not safe to drive. Honda place my family life in danger, such that the street around our city, cars drives between 55 to 70 mph. This easily could cause a car to re-end or T-bone the car while making a turn on a busy traffic street.

Takata recall. I've had this car for 3 yrs. The problem with it is that, when I come to a stop while driving it doesn't wanna take off. It hesitates for about 30 sec. The problem is that its dangerous when I turn left it stays in the middle of the St and I can get hit. At one point I had to put it in emergency lights and turn it off and on. Then it worked. Its been doing it for about 4 months at least twice a day. It started in about April. At first it wasn't that often then it started everyday. It happens anywhere, St highway, fwy, city even when I wanna reverse. Im not sure why its doing it I've taken it to the mechanic about 4 times. I do all oil changes everything, tire changes, rotations, the mechanic can't find anything. He even changed a sensor and it still does it.

Fuel is leaking into the oil. The dealer just suggested changing the oil more often. I know this is a defect but what can I do? the electrical system is not reliable....one day my passenger window would not work from my control on the driver's side. Finally it did--this was when parked. They replaced once and then "updated" the infotainment system once because of very disruptive things that happen on the screen while driving. Once (this was parked) it totally locked up my iphone so that I could not use it even after I shut the car off (I was parked and had turned the car on ) and rebooted my phone! once I got locked out of my car after opening the trunk and closing it...my fob would not work and when I used the key, it set off the alarm, flashed the lights and reset all my personal settings. Sometimes the steering wheel radio controls lock up and don't work. Many times the radio screen goes black when I am driving and not touching it. One time it started beeping and would not stop....very dangerous as I try to drive with the beeping. And, my windshield wipers are very sporadic....does not matter if I try resetting them to auto....when it is not raining they go crazy, when it is raining they stop....sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I have to spend too much time trying to get the car systems to work while driving that this is as dangerous as can be. The electrical system of this car is a lemon...and has been from the start. I have at most about 9,000 miles on this car but started noticing glitches long before 6,000. This is the top of the line car in this model.

I had an engine light on on 8/5/2918 call dealer ship to set an appointment on 8/6/2018. Advice found ftc P2422 evap cvs stuck closed indicating ftp sensor and canister malfunction, canister to malfunctioning due to the geographical are where vehicle is driven and park. Dust and dirt will collect and clog the system.. this happens on Sep/2017. 1st time was cover by manufacture not this time I got extended warranty for 6 years they said no, cause was same problem within a year and was not a manafucture defect. I called America Honda they agree to pay one more time only out of warranty. But this is going be at no ending problem for me, I have a cap less on gas tank which is not sealing right and main problem causing all dust and dirt getting in. They said the dust wasn't getting they gas tank, but they're not able to tell me howdust and dirt getting into the canister. I want this to get ivastigated because this is a manufacture defect, I never got a disclaimer saying if I drive car on dust or dirt will be causing this problem, year after year, the cost of $700 plus $100 for diagnosing, worst experience ever. Please help me.

The sensor of the gas tank (I mean capkess sensor) fail to stop when finish to fill it up with gasoline, producing the gas to coming out and there's 100% of 🔥 fire at the gas station causing a dangerous situation for many people in the gas station. This risk never happen with my CR-V 2009 and Nissan Sentra 2009.

Fuel leaks out of the cap less system when filling gas. Amount of fuel varies. Called Honda and got no help. There is an existing document on NHTSA website, but no updates from Honda. The issue has been happening since the car was purchased in July 2016. Https://static.NHTSA.gov/ODI/tsbs/2016/mc-10086567-2280.pdf several users are reporting the same issue in forums: Https://www.civicx.com/threads/fuel-overfill-Honda-is-aware-and-working-on-it.7079/ https://www.civicx.com/threads/anybody-having-problems-with-cap-less-gas-tank.5331/page-3

Capless gas tank always backflows and spills gas onto the car if I wait for the gas pump to auto shut off. This never happened with any of the older cars I have owned. To avoid this from happening now I manually stop the gas pump before the tank is full.

The ac has went out on two occasions. The first occasion was due to the system needing to be recharged. The second being a hose was not connected correctly. The back tweeter speakers went out and had to be replaced. 3 audio updates needed to be done. While driving the car stopped accelerating and the car started shaking. There was no brakes or power steering at this time. Different codes started lighting up the dash. I was able to get the car stopped and off the road into the ditch area. It is currently at Honda.

When refueling my Civic there is a 50/50 chance it will over fule and not stop the gas pump. Sometimes gasoline will overfill enough to make it to the ground. I have been to the dealer about this twice, both times being told Honda is aware and investigating. This is a major safety hazard. What would happen if someone were to discard a cigarette, and catch that gasoline that overfilled and spilled out of the car on fire?

If you have to brake suddenly, vehicle will not reaccelerate when pressing accelerator. You have to pump accelerator several times before it starts working properly again and vehicle resumes acceleration. This has almost caused me several accidents already. Very dangerous! especially for an inexperienced driver. Also, seatbelt locks up tightly and you cannot move upon sudden braking. You have to play with it for a while before it loosens up. This is also dangerous because you cannot look around to see your surroundings.

Daily maybe a few times a day when I attempt to accelerate from a stop the car hesitates for 1-3 seconds before the throttle responds. This is possibly dangerous because if pulling away when there is a limited opening to make it through the intersection it could cause accidents. I'm wondering if it has to do with the cvt transmission as my 2015 Honda Civic with cvt also had this issue from time to time. This issue happens daily and usually in the morning on a left turn about 3/4 mile from my home. Usually at the same corner daily in the morning but it does happen at other times throughout the day and I think it may be more common not long after starting to drive after having been sitting for a bit. I love Honda's and have had many of them but this issue needs to be taken seriously and resolved!

When refueling through the capless fuel system in California gas spills out when the pump automatically shuts off. I've refueled five times so far and each time it happens, no matter what orientation I have the pump or how far it's pushed in. There is a thread on a Honda forum with other examples of this here: www.civicx.com/threads/fuel-overfill.1505/
