Radio loses pre-sets anywhere between 1x per week to 1x per month. Problem is identical to one described above. The problem has existed since new and has been going on for over a year. Dealer has replace the full audio unit and problem still exists. They have blamed my iPhone, Pandora, Bluetooth. After getting a new phone, removing Pandora, and not using BT, they have run out of excuses. American Honda finally acknowledges that they have an issue, but they have no idea how to fix it or when it will get fixed. I could not be more disappointed with the response from American Honda.

Civic EX-L 1.5L I4

  • Automatic transmission

My radio periodically reverts to the default presets for no reason. When the radio is on, sound starts cutting in and out, and then the AM/FM station presets change to the defaults. They don't match what is actually playing through the radio until the unit is turned off and back on. XM is not affected. This happens at least once a month to my 2017 Civic since I bought it near the end of 2017. Dealer of course seems clueless. I've seen this problem reported frequently and exactly the same symptoms on Honda forums for this generation of Honda's. Seems likely to be a software problem since I have other problems such as the display becoming unresponsive and requiring a reboot, and the preset buttons being replaced by an error box (don't remember the error). This whole head unit is slow, buggy, and an embarrassment for Honda.
