Do not buy a 2016 or 2017 Honda Civic if you are short person who likes to have the steering wheel all the way down. Why?...if you are short (and short-waisted in particular) and put the seat it the highest position AND you want the steering wheel tilted all the way down (so you can actually steer the car, so you can see, and also so the airbag will hit you in the chest instead of smashing your face off) , then you cannot get out of the car if you leave the steering wheel all the way down. No problem because you can just tilt the steering wheel back up, right? Wrong! For some unknown reason, Honda decided to put the tilt steering wheel lever in the most awkward, ergonomically horrible location that any auto maker ever has. I have only had the car for 10 days and my back already hurts because of it. The first few times you use it, it doesn't really bother you or hurt your back, but after repeated uses (getting in and out of the car several times per day while running errands) it becomes ridiculous. This is such a shame because it really is an excellent car in almost every other way (other than the lame seat fabric and the thick steering wheel). This car is definitely not made for smaller people.
