Civic LX 2.0L

  • Manual transmission
  • 72,000 miles

Back a couple of months (maybe summer) ago I started noticing the sticky/choppy steering. Mostly feel it out on the highway but sometimes at slower speeds like in 40 mph zones. It almost feels like lane correction is on but I have it disabled. I've emailed Honda in Thomasville to see if it can be covered under the recall for the 2022-2024 even though mine is 2019. I also hear from time to time a weak sounding horn noise that I'm not sure if it's related or not. I'd love to hear if other people are getting their 10th gen civics covered.

Civic LX 2.0L

  • CVT transmission
  • 41,000 miles

This sticky steering wheel only happened on long trip above 50mph. My car starts to stick on center position of steering wheel when I try to turn left or right for very little adjustment. I can feel Steering wheel like stuck in the center position I had to force to turn it. It does not like when you drive in town street ( the steering wheel is very soft to turn) highway is not straight always so I have to keep turning a little bit steering wheel to keep my car in center of the lane. This sticky steering wheel made me a lot of work to turn for just little adjustment of steering wheel. Why 2022-2023 Honda civic has recall for sticky steering wheel and HONDA did not include 10th generation of Honda Civic. They have exactly same issues!!! Mine 2019 civic only has less than 45k miles. It should not have this kind of issues.

If there is a class action lawsuit for the 22-23, has anyone else suffered this issue with a 2019 or am I the only one? Honda claims they have 0 complaints!

Civic

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

Sticky steering started late last summer 2023. Now it happens when I have driven the car for about 20 minutes. It tends to stick more on left turns.
