This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
The transmission started to slip "judder" & they tried to dismiss the issue. We had 4 transmissions replaced in 3 years a total of 120,000 miles

The slipping happens when the car is decelrating from 70m/h and when your foot is off the accelrator. You feel a big jerk as if somebody bumped your car from behind. I have noticed that it happens more often on downhills (minor slops) than on flat or uphill roads.
The problem happens intermittently. Took it to the dealer, did a test drive and jerk didn't happen. Mechanic recommended transmission fuel flush, got it done but the problem is still there.
It looks like a known problem because there are some more people who have reported this issue. Nobody has been able to figure out why it's happening. It looks like a manufacturing defect.

Known defective CVT transmission problem with the Starter Clutch. Honda dealers did temporary repairs and patches until it was beyond extended warranty period. After warranty expires, Honda dealers agree that Starter Clutch needs to be replaced. Well known problem and Honda knows it was a manufacturing defect. Very expensive repair. As the owner I did everything I could to deal with the problem.
