When driving my 2006 Civic Hybrid, the car stops when you go below 8 mph by design. The problem is it intermittently, when I take my foot off the brake, it does not restart. I am in traffic with a stalled car. I consider this a terrible safety issue. My dealer, Crown Honda of Pinellas Park, Fl, and American Honda both refuse to do anything since the problem has not happened at the dealer. They prefer to let me drive an unsafe car. I believe they know the components involved in the restart process and should replace the necessary parts. The auto industry would rather take the chance of a rear end accident than fix the problem. Reminds me of the Corvair story, the Ford pickup exploding gas tanks, etc. I would not recommend a Civic Hybrid to anyone.
