Cooling fan for the hybrid battery unit failed. Part NOT covered under warranty, even though its failure causes the IMA battery assist to not work. Dealer wants $700+ to replace a stupid ass little cooling fan for a battery pack. Added to the $140 diagnostic fee I paid, a $900 repair bill on a car with 69k miles, completely negates ANY savings for driving a hybrid over a regular car. Well, guess what TF I am going to do ? I am NEVER buying a lousy Honda again. Ever.

And if you think one Honda is just a stroke of bad luck. Consider that I also own an '08 Civic Hybrid, and its hybrid battery crapped out last year. Luckily, I was within 2k miles of the warranty running out, so I wasn't out $3.5k, but it is very clear to me, that Honda doesn't know jack chit about electrical engineering.

Previously, I owned a new '02 CR-v and that car was junk, too. Poor build quality. Poor ride. Horrible seats. And a suspension rattle/clunk that no Honda dealer could find or fix, even though they could hear it when driven.
