I've owned my car for only two years & drive it once in a while as the mileage (12k) can confirm. I hope this is not just the tip of the Iceberg & a precursor of things to come. It should be an easy fix since I was able to remove it by turning it 90 degrees (either way). After its turned, depressed latch w/ small flat head screwdriver & simultaneously pulling it straight out. Honda should do the right thing & replace this free of charge

Update from Mar 15, 2013: The official name of this part is called, sun-visor holder. I'm not sure if it really matters wether you purchase right or left one. I ordered left one (drivers side i hope) just make sure you verify your specific color
